Old and new fog lamps

Hi All,

 

Just looking at getting another fog lamp for my VR6. Apparently two types were used between the early and later cars. Is this true?

 

...If so how do you spot the difference between them?

 

I've been having a search, but can't seem to find any details about this.

The later ones are fixed into a black plastic surround that also houses the indicator. The early ones are just the foglight on its own without any housing.

If you look at kip's thread for mat's he also has pic's of later fog's in housing basically if your car is post 92 it need's late fog's if up to 92 it need's early also maybe 93 g60 may need early.
