2sheds 10 Posted July 3, 2013 Right then, picked up my Corrado today and well happy with it but there's one small niggle, the gear shift literally throws from all the way front to all the way back(1-2 and 3-4) and 1st is kinda tricky without crunching reverse. I can find all sorts of vids on later gearboxes and setting centre, and Ive had experience with the vw rod system but this is entirely new ground for me. Is it possible to adjust the cables for a tighter more accurate shift? Is it a small piece of plastic that is rarer than hens teeth? Any help will be great as on first inspection I have no ideas
CazzaVR 0 Posted July 3, 2013 Lift the gaiter and make sure the little circlip is attached to the side of the gear stick. A few p from vw if it's AWOL.
