lewvw 10 Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) Time to sell my Beautiful Corrado as i'm buying back my mk2 GTI. It's a very tidy Blackberry with black leather 83000 miles. I bought it in 2010 with 75000 miles on the clock. There are two previous owners, the first was a chap who used it as his company car for a few years then garaged it as a weekend car until a few years ago when his enthusiast neighbour bought it and sold it to me a few months later to fund paint on his mk1. Having so few owners it has a huge amount of receipts including the original bill of sale! 11 Main dealer services in book. 4 Volkswagen specialist. Serviced by myself since i've had it (I am a Volkswagen trained tech). It really is a lovely Corrado condition wise as my friends on here will testify, there are a few minor blemishes but these are very small and not corrosion related (the body is in excellent condition). Leather is very good condition, only signs of use are on drivers seat. Uses next to no oil whatsoever, has been on max for the couple thousand miles since I last changed it. In my 6000 miles I have carried out the following: 2 oil changes with synta platinum - this is fully synthetic (people are split between this and synta silver which is semi synth but TPS recommended this so I tried it and my engine was just as quiet so I used it again, plus it protects better at higher temps) and genuine filter. New genuine water pump New genuine crack pipe, thermostat housing, thermostat and all seals New blue and yellow temp sensors New rad fan switch and radiator New genuine auxilliary water pump New Beru coil pack New ecu and fuel pump relay New toad alarm with 2 remotes New complete lock set with 2 new keys New genuine auxiliary belt tensioner and contitech belt New fuel filter Powdercoated lower arms all new genuine bolts for front suspension (£50 worth of bolts!) New vibratechnics front engine mount New foglights and indicators with lamin-x protection Refurbed speedline alloys Daves16v quickshifter (total must have for any Corrado) New headlight switch Fuse fitted on headlamp switch earth So yeah it's not been short of attention recently! That's over a £1000 spent mostly on genuine parts. Not to mention the ££ worth of valeting products as I refuse to drive a dirty car. It really is a very good one so I can't accept any offers sorry.
