Hello

Its my first day on the site, looks cool.

I have two corrados.. 91 1.8 16v and a 92 2.0 16v.

but i have done the sacrilegious act of putting diesel engines into them so i can afford to drive them :/

i was in donegal last week and a fella had a mint 96 vr6 for sale and he told me it would be 1400 euros to tax in the south, does this sound right to u or was he bull****tin lol ?

thats feckin extortion.only £132 per year up here for classic insurance to boot. there should def be road tax concessions for old schools cars.the laws an ass.

Tax is extortionate in the South, Im running a G60, tax is €636 per year !!!

Ha, I used to have a 16v back home and I thought that was a killer on tax.

 

You need to be hardcore to run a vr6!

That's why the ones I've seen on sale over here are very slow to sell. The tax is just too much for most people.

Not sure - depends on what the import tax would be. there are always a few for sale in Northern Ireland on UK plates. If you were to bring one back from the south the tax would have been paid twice.
