Iva test on corrado

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone I've been collecting parts for a 4wd conversion for my rado.

I've recently discovered that any modifications to the monocoque chassis of the car will require an Iva test along the similar lines as a kit car. As the boot floor needs to be removed and another one grafted in then I think my car will qualify for the inspection. There is the potential for q plate aswell from what I can gather also my car has a cherished plate on which I I could potentially loose as the car is not road worthy.

I know ignorance is bliss but if the car was ever involved in an accident this would not end well I feel.

4wd in a corrado is a big undertaking anyway but getting it through an Iva may be a different ball game.

Does anybody have experience of this sort of thing

Cheers

Dan
