Looks good but I can't zoom in to read it, damn.... -

I messaged to confirm and it is a 4 bar pump. Perfect for my VR and works a treat. This and a one way valve in line solved my hit start issue too

I'm not a fan of JP group products personally. Lucas have been doing electrical products forever and have always been a top brand. Just a suggestion 😇 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234630565376?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=yi1ojZncSxy&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=SuQ1hX6ZSQa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Suddenly I'm glad I bought a Lucas one, instead of the VDO I was going to wait for.
-
That is terrible. Are you fitting a one way valve on the line as well as the new pump? Here are pics of my old pump that I changed last year. Which I assume was the original but not really any markings

Bloody hell...... -
Yes. That is who I ordered a pair from on 11th Dec, never arrived.... just received my money back this week. There were also some advertised as genuine NOS but suddenly not for my car. I wonder if people forget to remove the adverts when they have no srock

I wish I could find the FAG ones. I've gone off SKF as the mk2 ones were a pain for me. Fortunately these have been off a couple of thousand miles ago, so hoping for that bit to go okay 🤞

They are on the VW classic Corrado metal sign. There were some for sale on FB for only 150 for a couple of months. I couldn't believe they struggled to sell. Had I have been nearer I would have snapped them up. But who needs 4 sets of wheels!!! 🤣 -

Great looking motor, great purchase. Maybe start with some brighter headlight bulbs and an uprated loom. My best invested purchase for the Corrado has been clear headlight protectors and fog light protectors. I dont fancy having to sell my liver or kidneys to replace them due to a stone chip... 🤣 -
😥 Brought a tear to my eyes 🤣🤣
-
Sod this, stick it in a Corrado 🤣🤣 Only kidding. I had a mk3 16v and loved it. But an R36 in one, impressive. I like that fact you bought a totally good car and will rip it apart. Ballsy and very sensible 💪 Have a read of what GrahamU has done with his Corrado, as that has been a fantastic and different build. Good luck with all of this and like everyone else, look forward to the updates. I hope the gearbox is what it says, damned cheaper than refurbing one. It's gonna be great 🍻
-
Where on the car is that fitted?
-
GrahamU's 2.0 TFSI with DSG - not for the purists :)

Damn that looks a technical piece of kit. Good luck with getting it sorted -
The 4bar Lucas one I purchased works absolutely fine.
-
WOW, Jesus........ I think Gates were the oe make and readily available. Easy to change and I believe there is even a how to on this forum in the wiki

Oooo the new VW roof gutter trims are very nice

Perfect fit. i think it sorted my warm start issue but i also fitted a one way valve at the same time

Cold start idle issue has definitely been solved. Thanks to trying a known good coil pack from Shaun it has solved the problem. Starts fine, idle initially high and then drops to around 650 ish but smooth. So thanks Shaun and hopefully my new coil pack will be delivered this week.👏👏 I do still get a slight cabin vibration as it goes up yo about 2.5k that has never gone away. I did change all the engine mounts but that made no difference. I'm putting it down to the chains maybe as they haven't been done yet and she is at 124k, but that will have to wait 👀

So bloody true. Ground pump rubbish. Ya cant beat a good fire to keep you warm 💥
-
And from a fire perspective, the sodding things are a pain to try and put out. But everyone buries their head in the sand on this happening in a multistorey car park...... That fire appliances cant get into. M1 was shut for 6hrs due to 6 electric Jaguars on fire on a car transporter, then each one put in a tipper lorry and a full fire and police escort to a specialist yard in the West midlands. The world Is going mad and this is a bad future Oh well 🙄
