  1. And dont wait so long b4 posting next time 👍🤣
  2. ABV, you put me to shame mate. Your motor is absolutely awesome. We know high standards when we see them, and your motor exceeds that. Thank you for sharing with us.
  3. Oooo now Crashers motor does look the one to have. But this on ebay may be more your colour https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175421688503?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=_52M7-q6RhC&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=SuQ1hX6ZSQa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  4. If original tie rods then only 1 side is adjustable. Most seem to be both adjustable now. Just the outer tie rod should be loosened off its locknut and adjusted to the correct positioning on the bar
  5. On my golf the inner fits up to a measured distance of the rack then is locked in place by the nut. Adjustment is made by the outer tie rod only. The ball joint allows for the flexing movement of the suspension. Any movement of this would need the locknut backing up to it. Although mine is an early one. I understand that if someone turning this they would be unscrewing it fitting onto the rack. Out of curiosity I need to check the Corrado Bentley now. Must be so nice not having the rattle
  6. Glad you are enjoying it again. I am in the process of building up my mk2 golf steering rack and had in the back of my mind about your twisted boots. Surely this should never happen as the inner tie rods sit up against a locking nut and only the outer tie rod end should be adjustable. A very poor job by someone turning all of it. Well done in persevering 👍
  7. We will post up what we find. BlackBerry it is 👌
  8. Well we can happily help you as we are all poking our noses around. What boxes does it need to tick?
  9. Sad ending, but time for a new relationship and get yourself another
  10. How much did that piece of vauxhall go for? Damned ugly thing

I will get a pic of mine this weekend, to see if that helps
  12. Latest update. Warm starting is perfect. Miracle cure without it turning over forever and ever Cold start..... well, starts immediately but the idle is not brilliant until she is warm, then becomes perfect again. I have read about a blue sensor! Controlling this but 99% sure mine were new VAG Or could it be that I haven't been able to take her out for a run to re-learn her values. She did go flat once this year and I am putting 2 and 2 together... I shall try and dig through some old receipts for what I bought. Any other suggestions gentlemen, as I dont like running her when she is cold
  13. Apologies, I was getting mixed up, as I think it was Seanl that sold his.. DmB made mine up going on the style that they all were at the time
  14. Looks good now, fingers crossed for you 🤞
  15. 😫😭 oh well. That will probably double the cars value . 🤣🤣👍
  16. What about using this type of sticky pad on the rear, then tyraps through that. Just a thought.
  17. That would be nice to know. No mention of price with my paperwork as it was done b4 VW gave it to the 1st owner. My heater box was sealed all the way round and I had to cut through it all yours sounds easier. Your motor is looking nice 👍
  18. With your climatronic, did it use mk4 golf parts. If it's the diavia evaporator in the heater box, mine was slightly restricted by leaves and debris that had collected inside. I did change mine out and cold is cold now. And I have done the heater box flaps
  19. 2 days later and I went to start her.... turned over but would not fire. 🤬🤬🤬 Finally got to have a look at it today and noticed I had disconnected the coil pack plug whilst refitting the cable guide there. Easy fix but did have me worried. I also managed to repair and refit the muffler at the back of the manifold and the car is a lot quieter. Whoever said a Schrick manifold does not need this is so so wrong as it is lovely and quiet again All the trims put back on and she is happy again. If only I could get her past this mk2 golf 😳😂
  20. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully I can just replace some seals
