  1. Connection update. I shall edit my last post as the small female spade connectors are too small but the 4mm ones fit the small connector. So I have just ordered some of the standard 6mm spades for the larger terminal https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353298224413?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=X-ZtIs2zReu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=SuQ1hX6ZSQa&var=622487824597&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

You are definitely getting on with your motor sorted, fantastic 👍
  3. The car looks great and a cheque book cannot buy what you have. Well done in achieving your car and getting her out and about. I'm definitely jealous as my car is blocked in, but yours is great to see

As above and get the hosepipe out to see if it helps

I shall unpin from the original connector and keep that. Cut off the old pins and fit what is needed. To be fair the conversion lead I bought tucked up out of the way easily
  6. 👍I've just bought another set for my mk2 golf, that doesnt even have a stereo!! I may look at sourcing the crimps with plastic covers, just for a challenge

  8. I bought the Alpine 6 x 4 ones as nothing needed cutting. The only change was a connector adaptor off ebay for a couple of pounds, but you could always remove the old plug and fit new crimps if you wanted. As for quality of speakers, they work fine. I dont have THUMP THUMP music in my ears as I prefer to listen to the tune of the engine. These were only £30 at the time but everything has increased. Cheap and effective replacement of the worn out old Nokia paper items

    ISV/IAC valve

Unfortunately they do need to be plugged in. I have a cheap Amazon one and an Aldi one that does the job and less than £20. I Originally looked at the Ctek expensive chargers, but these work fine. If you have a digital voltmeter just have a look at this. My battery is a silver Varta and the biggest that would fit, but still went flat and caused me problems. No issue since thankfully
  10. I can't open that link mate. Is it the white stuff you have ?

    ISV/IAC valve

Frustrated for you with that one, especiafter all of the time spent to try and resolve it. What Voltage do you have in the battery and how long was it left from its last start? Mine was a ball ache when I first bought the car, even a new battery would be flat within a couple of weeks and the lower voltage caused havoc. She is lucky to sit with a battery maintenance pack on now and touch wood has never caused an issue with starting and ticking over since. It never drops below 12.78 volts or gets an automatic charge. Easy to disconnect too. Just a thought !! I have no other ideas...
  12. Good luck with this. One of the best purchases I believe I made was getting a set of clear plastic fog lens covers to go over and protect the fogs.

    Davina air con

Found this, showing the air flap motor top left. Fan speed resistor pack below this Shiny expansion block valve in the middle at the bottom Far right on top is my temperature sensor which has the yellow plug.

I am intrigued... under my black mastic was the block expansion valve where the pipes join to the evaporator. Nothing else as I remember, hmmm Generic picture of this

Where exactly was that mounted? Mine has a probe going into the box. I will see if I can find a picture

    VR6 ABS relay

Hasan, I was led to believe that due to the diavia aircon box, these would no longer fit correctly. As was suggested to me before, I tucked them up behind the box and bulkhead, never been an issue and accessible if needed. Nice to have finally seen how they were supposed to have fit as I did wonder 👍

    Great job mate, well done
  18. Ooo everyone loves a Recaro XT. I need to have a better read of this to understand what parts list I need for my VR fuel lines
  19. Ccgb did a write up by Chris Gaskell in the Sprinter magazine on the fitment of genuine mudflaps to a corrado. Worth every penny as the rears have a white VW logo on. I fitted these to mine.
  20. Red corrado with some crazy stretched tyres on a tarmac hugging car coming North up the M1 near j29 at 19:30 ish. H476 Looked in good Nick

    Davina air con

I removed mine after I had removed the whole blower unit.... I can't remember if it is possible to get to all of the fixings from below. I will try and look for some more pictures
  22. Oooo nice. Looking forward to the picture of it 👍
  23. I do like a taigate brake light. 👍 Were you parked at clumber or an area of the Dukeries estate ? 😊
  24. Only just seen this.... damn shame. I was there. Disappointed that the CCGB was put to the side of the hall And the weather seems to have been lovely everywhere, but there.... that fine rain 🤣 Definitely the big turnout of all VWs although no mk2 golf soecific stand that I found. There was a nice golf rallye in the concourse Still a great day out. Our paths will cross 👍
  25. How the heck did you find out how to sort the French connection.... In fact if you are at Stanford hall tomorrow, I may just find you and ask 👍
