All looked standard. I will get a picture up in a couple of days when I'm back with the car
-
I've got 3 crimps coming off the live terminal that are double wires at each. 1 of the doubles is definitely for the aircon. I've had the dash out and been all over this car, never once seeing some out of place relays

SOLD....SOLD.... SOLD To a really nice guy, with 3 Corrados.... π€£π€£ is it just me on here that only has 1..

Did the connection changeover last night. Thought I would measure the voltage b4 and after before seeing it for real π Weirdly enough with engine running I had 13.1 volts before I connected up at the headlight connector, how the hell does that happen? I am not aware of any relays previously fitted and have the original connectors and loom at the headlights. Only item I have changed is the headlight switch for one from 8vmatt. Anyway, connected the new loom up and have 13.6volts. So better but I was expecting a low 11v at the lights previously, hence Corrados needing the loom!!! Or did I just buy something I didnt need and I should have checked the voltage first 100% recommend the quality and fitting of this loom, especially with the oe connectors. So quick and simple βββββ 5 stars from me π

I like the idea of it, especially for winterizing your car and taking the wheels off. Would it lift higher than using normal ramps

That's good to hear as normally people only comment on the bad. Stuarttaylor37, the choice is yours mate

I did those calcs and gained comfort from them, especially as the car does not feel sluggish or under powered. Thanks Dox for putting this stuff up. Fla great pictures, thank you.

A great result in the end π

That's for the future, money dependent. I will do the compression test. The guy was good at doing the run but nothing else, so could be the same guy. He was very happy at how the car ran with no concern. Watch this space π©

I will look into it tonight π
-
Yes mate, just seen your PM π
-
I did look at that this afternoon as a comfort blanket. If the result is at the wheels, then the car is healthy If the result is at the flywheel then the engine is on its arse according to this I knew I would hate doing this π€ͺ

Yes. So close and other people I tried never answered.. That has also been my thought
-
Sounds a planπI have never done that b4 and always wanted to. Shopping list for a compression tester and some google time. Daft thing is she does shift when given the right foot treatment.
-
My thoughts too. It's an ABV. I haven't done the Schrick yet, I wanted the power run for a before and after !! It is a rubbish picture of a poor printout. I believe this was at the wheels or am I wrong.... I will ring and ask them tomorrow. Hopefully at the wheels and I have nothing to worry about. The good thing was that it sounded like a jet engine on full throttle and there was no smoke or anything from the exhaust
-
Took the car for a dyno power run today, results on the picture. I wanted to see how the car is now that she is running. I think she is fine but who knows.... maybe down on power, hmmm

For sale is a stripped down set of mk3 golf 288mm front brake calipers and carriers. What you see in the photo is what you get. Ready to be blasted and painted in a colour that you may choose. And I found a new set of banjo bolts and washers that will come with it. Nice little project for someone I already had some calipers that I had refurbished but These came as a complete purchase with the mk3 genuine vw discs that I wanted, hoses and pads. I may sell the genuine front pads soon Cheap as chips Β£20. Can post at buyers at expense π
