There is a set on ebay at the moment got your name written all over them 😊 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324375329063

New windscreen came with the clip mate, yes 👍
-
I got mine from classic parts not too long ago. Didnt think it was a crazy price tho !!
-
Mate, you have looked after me plenty of times 😇
-
Free. This forum has given me plenty and still does. PM me your address

The 2nd picture is the better one, but isnt perfect. Invest in a set of trim removal tools from ebay £12 and you wont need a garage to fit it. Pop it off from the bottom and work your way round until it is clear, then disconnect the 2 heating wires, easy👍
-
It wont be 100% perfect, but you can have one of these I have. I'll get a picture up. I think they have some blackening on the edges that all.
-
Definitely is not magnifying. Someone else will chip in soon. If he broke it, he did well to replace it straight away but it does sound strange. I have 2 spare sets and both are normal.
-
😂😂 mine is fine. That's a strange one. As for the motor not adjusting check the WIKi section here. It explains how the switch contacts get dirty so it can be removed and cleaned. Easily done with a little patience

How's your progress going mate?
-
Thank you everyone for replying and helping me in this thread journey 👍

IT'S FINISHED My part of this thread is finished It's in, dry and all the trim fits. Love the windscreen more now with the green tint so definitely recommend the Saint-gobain glass. Bummer that you cant seem to buy just the straight top seal, oh well. And if you are anywhere near Nottingham, I totally recommend NOTTINGHAM WINDSCREENS as they've done a great job, did a dry run and put up with me being a pain
-
Happy that my windscreen is back in and the trim fits perfectly.
-
We have definitely had bad fortune with our Windscreens. Look to the future 😇
-
😂😂 great post. GLWS
-
WOW 👍

Unfortunately the car is at work and I have took the pi$$ leaving it there so that Nottingham Windscreens can do the fitting for me. I would have loved to prep it better and leave it for longer, but that isnt an option. The good news is that the garage it is in is heated
-
Windscreen edge has now had 3 coats of paint, just to be sure.. I do not want this to ever rust. Fingers crossed for Monday that all goes well 😊
-
They definitely take the brunt of cutting the windscreen out. Thanks for looking though 👍
-
I wish... but not feeling lucky on this one mate 🤞
-
Not got one mate but goodluck in sorting it. Have you done a search on here yet, as I have read about people doing this b4
-
Damn that looks fiddly 🙈
-
You did Sean 😂😂 I love the Gummi stuff Keyo, you source items I didn't know existed. I've had VWs all my life, and rubber mats for them. Yet never knew badges were available for them

A very sad looking windscreen less Corrado, awaiting painting and sealing. 2nd time lucky for this windscreen.

Windscreen was removed today. The paintwork does get damaged, but fortunately only in the hidden area. So spent time cleaning all of the bonding off the car, ready to repaint an lacquer in the hope of rust protection.. Won't be refitted until Monday afternoon now. We had a good chat about expectations, using blocks and how I want it to be Unfortunately I need to buy a complete new seal kit when I only need the short top seal. Watch this space.
