I was wrong, it is MOT MONDAY ,yes yes yes yes yes.💥👍😇 The Garage rang to say it was loose nuts, tightened and now with an mot, first time in years. I can't get her back until tomorrow morning though !! As the alignment isn't sorted. Damn, this is worse than a kids Christmas eve...
-
I will take a 'tomorrow's Tuesday' and hope both cars are sorted. Just dont like the thought og the Corrado parked outside the garage tomorrow after it is finished. It was like a bloody parking lot outside so I stayed guarding the car... And I had to get a bus home 🤣🤣🤣

MOT Monday.... turns out it isnt. Washed and cleaned her b4 taking to her to a last minute MOT booking and its tracking. The guy was great in looking after it. He wasnt happy with one of the wheel joints at the lower strut so left it with them. NOOOOOOOO Ontop of my daily Passat being in a garage for a gear change issue.... Mad day Monday instead 😩👊

They may have prefabricated ends, but will still need bending to fit. You could just take them off, down to a local motor factors who can just make them up to the same length with the same ends. Not expensive that way. You just bend it as an exact copy to the one you have taken off.

Any pics Shaun

I meant to put this picture up earlier, of setting the washer jets ups. I did them as per the Bemtley manual, but swapped sides for our RHD system. I hope that's right. 🤔

Thanks gents. Here's hoping it will pass so I can drive it. Keyo, you did the miracle in getting a set of Recaro seats. Sorting the dealer sticker will be easy for you

She is ready for the MOT sometime next week hopefully. Fingers crossed for that one

I'm waiting on some nuts for the wipers, then it's off for wheel alignment and an MOT. I'm definitely NOT happy with the fitted windscreen, but need the car running to take it elsewhere for someone to practice on
-
I wasnt 100% sure as the space to the left of the wiper looked better. But after googling Corrado images, they all seemed to be in the middle.. Height wise it seems where the fitter deemed appropriate 🙈I used the black dots on the glass to keep it level, but it could go higher. I did even see a couple at the top of the window

Fantastic gents. Thanks for being my comfort blanket. 👍

Does anyone have a copy of the above WIKI topic. Mines about to go on the road, maybe, so I would.like to run it correctly on the way to its MOT soon

Gutted for you.... The rear end does look bad, so a lot of effort in trying to sort out all of that damage. Certainly is repairable for the love, but not for the cost. 4 sounds ok but suggestion 3 if you could quickly remove the bits you want and then scrap it. You certainly know what to look for in a Corrado, so a weekend looking wouldn't be too much to give to see anything good was available. You will still spend time searching for any car. After 16yrs of marriage would you want it back, or is it time for a replacement 😊 I mean the car.. Good luck in your decision I too lost a mk1 gti, so feel your pain. YOU KNOW ANOTHER CORRADO IS THE RIGHT CHOICE as clearly you are a great custodian of one

Rotherham car trimming near the park gate shopping area. Sorry for my ridiculously late reply... Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

The Cars are looking fantastic mate, well done in being the proud father of two VW beauties. Have you ever looked to see if the mk2 scuttle cover would fit on the Rado?
-
The annoying part is that I have them and gave them to him. He apparently didnt need them. Twat.

Well I went for a green tint on a tinted screen SEKURIT so impressed with the windscreen. Shame the fitter of 30 years experience managed to f##k up fitting it. I'm too Embarrassed to put a picture up of the corner mouldings parts at the top with the outer seal. Excess sealant was bloody everywhere and still is on the inside of the car. I would have liked it to be level... One step forward, 3 steps back 🤬🤬👊

Well done in getting the MOT, always a stressful time and fantastic news

Front end fursday 😆. Managed to get the front end on the car tonight. Happy with it. I did try some LED bulbs in the fogs but they were rubbish. Here's hoping the windscreen Gods will come fit one for me soon.... patience!

That is what I saw a long time ago, yet could not find now. Thanks for that 👍 4 week wait for a part seems worth it when it all works first time
-
I would love a copy of the wiring diagram. I did remove alot of my connections/clean /squash then refit them. And although it still works I dont trust its reliability

Looking good. Your condensor certainly does look more substantial than the original, but that is still available as it is universal. Harrison brand. But I do like yours as it looks more OE

Unfortunately for me I had to buy 2 used switches, just for the clips. I have been messaged by Dr_G60 on here who has arranged for them to be remade, stating a 5 week lead time . the cheapest but.... nothing is with a Corrado

Rude.. ha, no chance mate. I'm going on nights. One night this week hopefully

Here is a picture of the aircon pressure switch, with part no. Should anyone ever need it. Took a month to arrive after going through a Webasto dealer Webasto 62043101S1A
