Today was a creative day. I set about making some replacement door membranes by copying the knackered one I had. Took me all afternoon to do this and get the door card on. I learnt there are more cuts on original, for wiring that I dont have, but I was happy with the practical purpose of it. Ignore the colour ð it all I could lay my hands on. Even better was that a year ago i bought some expensive VW butyl for sticking the roof trims down and now had a use for it around the door lip

For some strange reason I had these audi door pins that have a rubber boot. Perfect fit as I am searching for both of my originals. They are a sturdier item. What's your thoughts? Just an alternative !!

Royal mail didn't rush first class post then. Patience ðð it's what we bloody need with these cars

Any news from Classic? Be a real shame if they didn't do this now that so many people are interested on here.

Oooo that does all look very nice. Definitely worth all of the effort you have put in.

Bloody air on pressure switch that fits in the drier was leaking out oil where the wires exit. ... tried swapping with a spare I had that actually doesn't work... oh well. I will post up the details of the replacement part for this. As it is the only part I didn't bloody change and it is stopping me from fitting the freshly painted front bumper that is living on my dining room table ðĪĢðĪŠ

The worst part of buying is finding the bloody parts, never mind the Corrado tax.... But the cars do look good and stand well ð

Good day, bad day. I had purchased a NOS rear headlining trim years ago. Out the box today and there is a slight crack to it. Disappointed but my repair to the back was bomb proof. Just so I could fit the tailgate seal and adjust the lock, shuts lovely for now. Worst was the aircon pressure switch which decided to leak oil !!! The bit of headlining that I stuck back and the glue has bleed through ðĪŽ And a brand new bolt for the rear bumper still wont fit in.... so guess I need to tap a rethread to the bumper arm. Wish I new what pitch it was . Bloody Corrados ððĪĢðĪĢ And Shaun, 1 wing mirror is on ðĪŠ

Banana will go back on. Mine is exactly the same.

I got my rear window out using a snap off blade long Stanley knife. Running the blade inside along the bonding. Continually snapping the blades off to keep it sharp and slightly bendy so I could get my hand to it. After watching the guy make a mess taking my windscreen out, I wondered why I hadn't just done it along time ago!! Just go for it mate, you need it out to assess what is in front of you. And it's a project. They all need saving ð

Sorry mate, my crap texting !!

Sean, which Toyos have you purchased?

I hope summer isn't too soon..... slow progress but I want to make sure everything is cleaned and working as it goes back on. I would like to get the alarm immobiliser swapped out whilst in this state. I may put the front bumper back on tomorrow to free up the dining room table ðð

Kent tool. We use them in the fire service for cutting windows out. They need the blade to be really sharp. Brilliant for cutting the rubbers, but as Dox says, super hard for bonded areas. If you want to try it i will happily send you the one I have. I got a windscreen guy to come out and he cut it using the cheese wire rope wrapped all the way around the windscreen . Good luck with getting it out

Some heated seat elements are part of the seat cover, not separate. If you can wait until the weekend I can look through my receipts for the part numbers of the separate ones that I purchased. But I'm sure by then you will have sorted it. Even new they dont get as hot as a modern heated seat unfortunately

This is refreshing my brain. Did the leathers come with the heating pad attached.....

I thought the Recaro ones were still available, as I fitted them in mine. Well a seat man fitted them, I did the wiring. They come with the bare connections on. I'm sure you will find them mate

And if you find the switches are a little unresponsive at times, like the mirror switch - take them apart and clean the contacts. Cheap fix instead of trying to source another switch

I got new from VW the other year for the plug ends. Hopefully someone will post up b4 me about the fuse as I'm not going home until Thursday PM.
