Taking them apart and the contacts cleaned made all of mine work perfectly

Sunroof next to go in... .

The pleasure is definitely in the cleaning, treating and refitting the parts. Making it look like a car. I took the rear bumper off to fit some new side clips, as mine had a slight wobble and weren't holding it tight enough in. Fitted the Heritage items, which are tight and it all lines up perfectly perfectly. I even took the opportunity to waxoyl inside where the bumper slides in and inside the tailgate. May aswell whilst I'm in this position.

Oh it's very shiny now. It has its own thread finally after 6 years. Karmann the Corrado ..

I would have chosen sebring over speedline anyday. Shame they didn't do a 5 stud standard sebring

Great pair. How do you just bump into such rareness 😁. I still think the Sebrings are the best, sorry mate. The rear seat does look more useful, but we don't ever go there. Do we?

I swapped these out recently. Less than 30 pounds for the pair from Halfords, but only went there as I had a voucher. Perfect fit but as with most non VW speakers they needed an adaptor cable at the electrical connection. (Ebay couple of pounds) I'm no music expert and haven't tried them yet, but all previous reviews said they were better than the stock ones. Plenty of choice out there

Born again owner, love it. I got the car back earlier I the week so this project isn't finished yet as I work my way through fitting everything. I did run a dab wire alongside the original in the clips up to the aerial. It is on my list to do..... I have bought some 2 core cable and will connect these at the aerial base before the roof lining is fitted. I can then check the FM is working, but with not having a DAB head unit that's as far as it goes. I will connect the FM powered base side at the head unit and probably protect the dab wire there, incase the voltage where to come back down That's all my thoughts on it for now. If anyone can suggest anything else then feel free. I will put a picture up of the dab wire so far. Good uck with the sunroof swap. A mk3 golf motor and cleaning/lubricating the area are a great upgrade for them

Definitely looking nice. Supercharged is just a dream for me. Keep us all posted 👌

I'm thinking green tinted on green on the classic green will be a good fit. Thanks fellas

MOLY-LIQUID silicon grease is good stuff. Perfect and recommended for the sunroof too
-
I took mine apart for greasing the other month. It does come apart easily but there would be less swearing if you took it all out of the car and did it on a table. Quite an easy fiddly job
-
I will give it a try this weekend. Cheers

So whilst faffing putting the tailgate back together I noticed that one of the rear fog lights is slightly blanked out. Has anyone knocked this out and got both rear fogs working. Sounds a late 80s thing but will only need a bulb and this pushing out. I will test it properly to check at the weekend, but wondered if anyone had done this 😇

Did you go for a top tinted? I'm wondering what a green tinted would look like against the green/blue one. Oooo decisions, but thankyou everyone

But to Piss me right off, the old guy next door said he would watch me back the car down the drive so that I didn't hit the doorstep. No it's fine, I will wait until the GF gets back. No no let's do it now.... so crunch. The *ucking alloy on the step.... 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Atleast it wasnt the new paintwork.... AGHHHH

The Classic Green Pearl LC6U does look nice when the sun hits it. I always wanted a blue one, but am happy with this

The aircon rad was readily available as it is the direct Diavia replacement. I honestly thought I would struggle to get one, but it was easy
-
Sounds good to me. Hopefully some other wise people will put there thoughts up
-
Keyo, it's a standard Hella rad, but the aircon condensor (rad) is what is sitting just in front of it More shiny pictures. 2 hrs and she is on her way home. Sod xmas, I've been up an hour already..wtf

The indicator holes are still there, but difficult to see at that angle. Nice idea though, but this one is to be kept original. Thanks for all the kind words, today is a big day. Shaun, I haven't paid for her until this morning, think I may need some drugs to get me through it. The paint job cost more than the car. What sort of idiot does that !!!

Ok people, let's pick at your knowledge. 95 VR6. I am having to replace my windscreen and the guy asked "is it just the top tinted stripe or fully tinted ". Now I've read lots about the Corrado but dont actually know what it SHOULD be. 🙄
-
Windscreen question, is yours going to be a fully tinted windscreen or a tinted strip at the top? Which should it be? I hate it when they give you a choice but dont know what it would have originally been fitted with.

Went to view the car today. All painted up and shiny. After half an hour looking it over I cant fault it. It did look fantastic and i certainly wasnt expecting it to be able to look that nice. So i am happy and it will be collected tomorrow, for me to spend the next 6years putting it all back together 😂🤣 (I hope not)
