Ive only got the kunifer ones on mine with standard brass fittings, never thought to look if there were better alternatives . Could you lacquer the brass so they stay looking nice ?

That looks awesome, aircon as well. Have you tried fitting the aircon hose to the compressor yet. Nightmare with the oil filter housing. But looking at all of the car, a piece of cake for you.

I agree with finding it tedious. I'm not skilled or patient enough to make a good job. Good luck in putting it back together and taking it for a blast 💥

Be better with your engine and wheels.. My restoration has been going on for years. More annoyingly is that over the time, some parts that were blasted and powdercoated are now showing signs of rust. But nothing major, so the plan is to get it running and enjoy it..hopefully

Definitely been a long time coming. This lockdown hasn't helped as I was taking it to a guy in Nottingham near where I work. The first place I chose was moving premises and still was not ready... I have chosen RE finishing not far from us. Should be ready in a month due to the lockdown. He is happy for me to call round at anytime and have a look at its progress. And will send pictures. Just over 3k is NOT cheap to me, but he is taking the doors etc off to paint ,then refit to ensure he is happy with all the gaps. And everything is to be painted, so if I have missed anything of the list please say Car 2 x bumpers 2 x wing mirrors Number plate light surround Sunroof panel Rear spoiler MOT...... how dare you suggest such a thing 😫😂😂 Call over when it is back mate. Hows the driveshaft repair going?

I was wishing it could have a shiny exhaust like yours fitted . That supersprint is very nice and makes a change. Had the windscreen guy not broken my windscreen taking it out I could have been halfway to buying one.

In the 6 years that I have had her, I finally decide to sort the car having it's own thread 1st May 2020 and she has gone off for paint. Then I can put her back together and drive her, maybe !! No rush eh Scary as hell driving her up on to the back of the lowloader and the furthest she has gone in years 🤣

Try asking C&R Enterprises in Nottingham. They did lots of work on these engines back in the day. Just a thought.. Good luck

2 things today. Paid to have the windscreen removed prior to the 'big paint' He says it might break,😂🤣 I say that's why I'm paying you as I could do that 🙄 It's a Corrado, it BROKE.... Oh well, atleast it is out. And secondly I got this baby out the box. It cheered me up seeing a Stoplock with working flashing led !!

Good news on it starting. Like fendervg says, these do drain the cranking capacity very quickly. My car is permanently connected to a trickle charger with a quick release plug set up. I haven't experienced the cluster not working, but I would suggest checking the plugs in the back are seated correctly. Brake pedal to the floor.... check the slave cylinder at the gearbox. You can get seals and do a cheap repair. The give away sign for me was the brake fluid that was on the floor under the gearbox. On removing the slave cylinder it was immediately obvious. So probably worth checking you have brake fluid in the reservoir and bleed the whole system through. Good luck

Do you have a daily vehicle that you could swap the battery out of just to try it...

Could be immobilized but with everything else Not working, I would suggest giving the battery a good charge if it hasn't been used in such a long time. It may show 12v but not have any umph left in it The immobiliser would click but all electrics should work normally. Have you ever changed the ignition switch? Not the key part, the electric switching bit below it.

That looks great. Does it fit through the handbrake trim ok?

They look a bit like the Mcgard ones but I'm not 100% on that. I had a true guy come and remove mine. All he did was smash it with a hammer and screwdriver.... 30 pounds. I dont know why I didnt just do that.
