I have only ever used two spring compressors to take the struts apart. Only ever done it off the car though as was not needed in removing the whole strut from the vehicle. They come off complete. Good luck with it though 👍

Mine was like yours. Seems to be fine as the electrics are on a separate lower part that this just turns. Fantastic cure for me. And gummi pflege is just the stuff that miracles are made of. You dont know how, but it just does 😄

I've got the same stuff and even use it on my window and door seals in the house. Brilliant product

My ignition lock was ridiculously stiff in trying to turn it. I was thinking I would have to replace it!!! So I sprayed it with some vw lock lube i had and the result was instant. A smooth turning lock Cost to me = Nothing Smile on my face, priceless 😁 That does not happen often with a Corrado

I reckon it would look great in the air vent at the drivers side. SWGmotorsport do a replacement pod that fits there 👌

It's off my VR and is a geuine part. There isn't a power wire up by the aerial !! Interestingly whilst wasting an hour of my life searching for cables and connectors, the AM/FM connector of the aerial fits directly onto the existing cable. It will just need some tape to ensure it stays secure

The base isnt powered as Shaun says. There is some kind of powered inline booster to the aerial behind the stereo Martin, I intend on running a DAB lead alongside the other via the passenger A post and roof. Plenty of different connector adaptors, but it would be nice to get the correct lead. Shame they mainly seem to be 5m long...shorter would be nice For the power I was thinking of running this on the opposite side to avoid interference. I was going to use a 2 core cable so that I have power to both FM and DAB. Too clever for me to understand why they cant share the same power!!

Worked totally fine before so I have no reason to doubt it now. I just need to search for some wiring. It did have a fakra connection added to it, but I dont think I need that for an old VW

I'll look at your spaghetti pictures of what you removed, for inspiration. Cheers for that

Cheers mate. Your 5 mins is terrible tho 🤣😂😂

Coincidence, I had mine apart today to fit a seal on the lock, but only just seen this post. Otherwise I would have posted up. I did re-tumble my door locks previously but am finding the ignition key stiff. Have you had your ignition lock out and done it?

Ok, this question is for future proofing. I have a Hitschmann DAB aerial that I used on my Golf GTi Edition 30 and was considering putting it in the Corrado. As I have no trim in it would be easy to route some cables at the moment. Just a thought 💡 Would you do it ? I'm so covid bored obviously

Helps if I put the picture up 🤣😂

The little black thing isnt working, along with the ancient alarm fob. Does anyone recognize the make of these? Or I might just do as easypops has done recently and rip it all out. Will give me an excuse to get the TOAD ai606 system I believe the alarm fob is Cobra and I do have one of each working, but would like to get this sorted Cheers in advance 😁

Did the front door card speaker upgrade. I chose the Alpine as they were £28 in Halfords and I had a 20 pounds voucher, so win win. I'm no music freak but this seemed sensible to do whilst the car is in bits. Straight swap.. .Shallower, Fixing holes line up but do need widening out otherwise you risk breaking the fixing tabs. I used a 6.5mm drill bit as it fit perfectly in the old speaker holes. Just waiting for the £2.49 ebay wiring adaptors to turn up. 😊 An easy job for once 👌Highly recommend, if they work..

Glovebox out. There are a couple of wiring hangers above it. Squirt some wd40 on the lower heater box fixing in the engine bay. It's near the exhaust heat shield and mine was an absolute pig. I totally agree with the seats out. And the centre console trim.the more room the better

Back in the days when I had my Ford fiesta Supersport 🤣🤣 in the last millennium 1989..... I wired a live from the sidelights to a small buzzer, to negative on the door pin. Simple electronics, when the lights are on and the door opens it completes the circuit. Buzz.

And it goes off 😄 Looks ok there dont you think 👍

I fitted the smaller ABS light 535919235B which i believe is from an earlier model. This sits next to the headlight switch where the blank was. The aircon switches I used were from a mk3 golf as they look more OE than the diavia switches

Just to update this thread. With everything changed, I even checked there was the correct amount of oil in the compressor and topped it up. When the aircon guy came, he added oil too with the gas in allowing so much for each replaced part. 2 weeks on and my Aircon is still working and incredibly cold. Colder than my Passats Interestingly the recirculating flap works like it should now. When I press the Max on button-it closes Max off and it automatically opens... it never did this before!!

Ouch. I bet that took some swinging on...

I made a tracing of the vinyl part that the rear spoiler rubber sits against on the tailgate. WTF 😂 !! Just need to find what the material is now..

That does look good mate, well done

Noooo. Why does something always have to go wrong. Especially when you just can not go out and get a part. Nice to have Corrado time though 👍

Item 33 in the picture anyway
