Mate your car is awesome. Judging by your MOT mileage you need to get out more 😄 Be great to see a picture of your steering wheel. And I dont believe much can beat the Nothelles. Absolute unique style and quality.

So confusing... I have just rang heritage and confirmed the part number as above. But like you say, that shows so the square clips on google. I will wait and see. If totally wrong I will delete the thread. I did explain that it is for the lower vent trims... watch this space 🤔

I will check with Heritage today and post up. . Apologies
-
Ok, so not the same shape but a perfect fit. (Well it is on mine) the round trim clips that hold the vents on the trim at foot level. See photo. Part number 191 857 971 and available from Classic parts for just over a pound each I hope it helps someone, as 40pounds on ebay for a couple of the fusebox clips is taking the pi##
-
Ha, they do fit. I will put a thread up for people
-
I have managed to order the clip for the lower vent trim. These are available separately from Classic 191 857 871. I may see if these fit the fusebox cover..
-
Heritage are a NO unfortunately for the scuttle clips. Very obsolete. Shaun may just be my saviour so only needing 1 more

Mate you are a legend. Thank you, I will be in touch. PM me what I owe you

Hopefully people aren't thick enough to use it...... with time on our hands we can wash our cars. Enjoy sorting the car

I think the Boris Johnson statement is to stay at home. Not to have people from different households working or being near each other. Hopefully this will work and prevent such a strain on the NHS. Nothing else seems to be able to slow this virus. Shame that 3 people have turned up to work on the house opposite me. 🙄

Well, I am looking forward to finding the positives and getting some Corrado time. Hopefully the forum will be busier as more of us have time to fill. Patience and good luck needed
-
That is definitely going to keep you busy. Good luck with it.

So, I have managed to break one of the clips on the trim below. It is the vent trim that is at foot level on the lower dashboard sections. I only need a clip, but will happily purchase the complete trim 536 858 709A . And in a perfect world of more obsoleteness... where has anyone purchased the windscreen scuttle trim clips? I have 4 but need 10. 535 853 832A Tailgate rubber seal, where has anyone found one and was it a good fit? I will probably add more to this thread now that I can get on with working on the car

I have learnt a lot along this journey.... Time to get it ready for paint now 😳

Finally got the aircon guy to come round to my car. I made sure all my o rings were lubricated with the compressor oil and connections very tight. Lastly a new receiver drier was fitted as he turned up. A successful vacuum test and filled with gas. Tested and all working perfectly. Ok, so I have officially changed everything and it is cold. Very cold. Here's hoping it lasts. But the good news for anyone with a failed evaporator, the early mk4 golf one previously mentioned does fit in the box, it just needs the pipes altering and shortening the bends at the evaporator. I had the pipes swapped over to match the old pipe set up and have realised this was totally unnecessary, as I should have just turned the block expansion valve, that the flexi pipes connect to, 180° !! Simple. Good luck to anyone that has to go down this route .

I thought so. It was the Bentley manual starting different sizes, so I assume they must be cut down maybe!!
-
I may have been told wrong on the spacers..... The Bentley Manual says differently. Does anyone know what is correct for the windscreen spacers?
-
Just to add to the windscreen chat. The spacer blocks that are used, are still available at VW. Part no.W443 845 631A SPACER £1.25 each. 6 required and I ordered some today

I would.like mine more if it were on the car 🤣. I did lacquer it so that I could wipe it.
