  1. Rorado974, not good mate. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen with this one. If it were to fail, I may send it away. For now, it certainly is a cheap fix with minimal time spent on each layer during the day. I took the opportunity to clean the horn connections and remove someone's long hair trapped behind there. Yuk. Sensitive horn now so that is better. Not that it drives anywhere 🙁 Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  2. Picture attached. I can't seem to share the link to the correct spot via tapatalk. Delivery takes a while but I was in no rush. I'm sure there are plenty of other suppliers, but this was good enough for me Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  3. Treated the steering wheel to a refurbishment Mine was a little tatty, so I ordered some leather cleaner/colourant and sealer. It came with quite simple instructions so I thought I'd give it a go. I had done some previous research and was considering sending it abroad for a refurbishment which is over £150 and looks great. But cutting costs I thought I'd try this for £12 from ebay. Hopefully the photos show the original wear . When cleaned and looking far worse... 3 coats of colourant & looking good 3 layers of semi gloss, result. My wheel still has a hard patch which perhaps I should have sanded, but for now, I'm happy. Apologies for so many pictures, but an easy job anyone can do Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  4. Always worth recovering the flaps whilst the dash apart doing the heater matrix. Good suggestion Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  5. Good luck mate. Deep pockets and patience. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  6. 1 LH Outer door drop glass Slot scraper seal £15.00 If it is straight and flat, I'll take it please. Unfortunately on tappatalk I can't open the pictures Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  7. I would test the alternator at idle and under load. Good luck Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  8. That's what mine was called, back in 96. Great fun cars Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  9. That mk1 looks great. Reminds me of strippng mine I had 20 years ago. Getting the gaps right was a pain, as well as replacing the rear arches and a plate for the clutch bulkead grommet. Oh why oh why am I doing it again with a corrado !! Oh well. Good luck with the progress. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  10. Have you tried someone pressing down on the bonnet, right hand side where the clip is. ..whilst someone else tries pulling the cable to release !! Idea being that the locking pin isn't under as much resistance. May be worth a try as it has worked for others. Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  11. Ditto to clean and lubricate it b4 it breaks. As that then becomes a quest for the holy grail and is expensive. Not actually a difficult job in removing the cassette unit, just give yourself a day when you've got the grease Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  12. Show off... I've done approx 1.5 miles in two years, to the mot station. And it still makes me feel good when I open the garage. Wish it was roadworthy tho! One day. Too many people comment about wishing they hadn't sold theirs and how much more they had to pay to replace it years later. ...for one not in as good condition. Although I did have a mk1 Golf GTi and loved it, but upgrading to something different is always good. Good luck with your decision Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  13. Looking great mate Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  15. Well done in sorting it. Good luck with the rest of it Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  16. So for KARMANN I have definitely asked for the CCGB calendar. I'll also ask for the respray but don't think I've been good enough for that. I hope you all get something nice for your car [emoji320] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  17. Started her up for the weekly warm up. Happily ticked over and got up to temperature. I'll ask Santa for the respray of her. Maybe one day I'll drive her. ... Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  18. I hope he typed that wrong. Take the zero's off [emoji23] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  19. Is daytime tomorrow possible? Add it is my day off. I'd prefer not to travel at peak times. If you pm me your address that would be great Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  20. Apologies mate but that was for all 3. No offence intended but if that was per wheel it would be a massive cost overall. When you consider approx 60 per wheel for a refurb, the same for a decent tyre, 15 for a centre cap from classic parts , it's hitting 135 b4 the cost of the wheel. . That's my maths. An expensive job when going back to a little 15" wheel. Worth it for being original I'm sure, but everything has a limit. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  21. Do they have centre caps.I'd give you sixty pounds mate.I have to pay that per wheel for the refurbishment. Hold out for a better offers, at least it's a start . Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  22. Probably the same here, corrupt bas####s... I think a lot of it is about what we don't know !!! We have a waste of time HS2 rail line that's already cost 2billion poundsand expected to cost 50 billion. Absolute madness here too Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  23. That's a pig. Any chance you could weld a nut on the end and try again. ...I wouldn't fancy drilling it out. ..good luck Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  24. Cressa
