There are some small nut fixings inside the boot and the very bottom part is stuck on with a tape that runs across the whole length. I poured boiling hot water down the back which eventually softened it. Very gently it came away but this bottom part breaks easily so Dont rush it Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
2. With getting a larger battery and for it to fit in on the clamp, it could only be longer. So I got the Varta silver. The battery cover that I found to fit is a genuine vw one that took forever to find. Part no. S1K0915411B batt case and was £21.57 rrp plus vat. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

6. I went for the biggest battery I could fit in, which is a 74ah in my VR. I even managed to source a vw bigger jacket for it. It actually likes to start now. The one you are looking at is a good battery Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
7. Good luck. Loving the side decals Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
8. Sorry. . Bloomin tapatalk !! I don't understand why sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. It was only a few pictures of the fiddly workings of the parts. You will sort the sunroof problem Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

10. A lot of it is made up of parts with pegs and circlips. Very small ones. Just do it a side at a time laying them side by side and you will sort it. Not forgetting a clean and the sunroof grease. Be aware. ...the parts are even more fiddly and fragile when out of the frame. On the plus side, you got the car started, so you will sort this. Good luck Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
11. Maybe worth contacting tomorrow if it hasn't sold to see about posting ..... good luck Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
12. I thought they only had grease in, not oil !! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
13. Broken cassette on ebay but finishes in 45 min. .but in Devon, only a fiver. .. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
14. I fitted a mk3 golf to mine and created brackets so it would slide the shade back. But even that broke. So I cannibalised them both and managed to repair the corrado one as it was only the usual break where the parts join the cable. I wanted to keep it OE. Still got the mk3 golf motor on as some T##T sold me a non working Corrado one. Aghh. Give it time and you will get the spares you need. You have certainly had lots of patience to get it where it is today. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Mines aircon and was exactly the same as a standard matrix Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
18. That looks great. I'm sure the correct sunroof alignment is 1mm down at the front. Maybe 2mm at the rear but Google it. Cressa Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
19. Definitely worth doing the above, otherwise you will probably break the back of your headlight It is the fixing lower down at the back that is a SWINE Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

21. Worth buying or borrowing an offset ring spanner. I borrowed and gave it back the next day, but made it so easy. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
22. Well done. Job for the future is a challenging repair. It is possible if the usual cable connection has broken, to chop and change parts from a different vw sunroof to make it work again. But it isn't easy. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
23. Whilst closing it manually can you push on the broken side at the same time to hopefully move it equally. The sunroof trim can be pushed back (with some force) to allow Acces to the sunroof panel Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
