  1. Although SRP acts as a sealant, I find that a further coat of wax enhances the finish. Then I have the wax I use, own wax sealant to pop over the wax and the car really sparkles after it all. It is solid white though and not metallic. I only use wax on my Ceramic coated daily and same on my similarly coated VR6. Everyone had there own ideas :thumbleft:
  2. ^ spot on. When I use SRP I put a coat of wax and a coat of sealant on.
  3. Autoglym super resin polish is a decent polish that I use. Firstly I would wash it thoroughly, then clay the whole car before polishing to remove all the contaminants. Then a good polish to remove or fill small imperfections before a good wax and sealant. The difference the clay bar makes to a panel is unbelievable, rough beforehand but smooth as silk after doing all the above. Proms Amigo is another very very good polish :thumbleft:
  4. Great work and will look ace when fitted
  5. Cars booked in for the end of July for a custom stainless decat exhaust from a highly recommended specialist. http://www.simonscustomexhausts.co.uk/
  6. Thanks and poss one day. I removed the rear wiper today to clean up the rear end but as usual, I am keeping all the parts I remove to stay with the car, incl the speaker brackets not reqd with the Audioscape pods, the rear wiper bits, interior and original speedlines.
  7. Thanks guys. Never thought of the door repair kit but the cards were easy enough. They are rolls up here not baps  but your right anyway :thumbleft:
  8. Removed the mint black cloth interior, cleaned everything, fitted grey leather interior with the Audioscape door pods and new Alpine speakers with the help of Kenny from this forum. Removed the black sill protectors with brushed stainless ones, then fitted the 20mm rear spacers. Finished with cleaning and moisturising the new seats and cards. Cleaned the washer bottle and changed the top to a new black one.
  9. I got out of the Golf mk1 game because of stupid prices and got my VR6. Wtf.
  10. Alpine 6.5" co axial S arrived this morning for tomorrow 's interior going in, they were the only ones I could find that delivered st short notice. Intetior is in the van ready to be delivered to me tomorrow.
  11. I've got Kenny heading over to help fit my new interior or I would have been through to Tartan Tarmac.
  12. Kenny has a few spare and I've got a few as well from a wee job lot I bought on this forum. Wish list still has a few things on it but there's no cash in the pot left but plenty time - Stainless exhaust Decent headunit Bigger wheels
  13. I will be doing this at some point as well as my direction is stuck in vents but just want to get it on screen.
  14. Had to hastily buy some Alpine 6.5" speakers for the Audioscape door pods before fitting
  15. Hopefully I've done mk1 Golf interiors but not a C.
  16. Thanks and I'm looking forward to seeing them fitted. Kenny from the forum is selling me them and helping to fit them which is very kind indeed.
  17. I don't actually know yet as I don't get them until Sunday but I am presuming so.
  18. I think a good quality retrim is not cheap
  19. Thanks. Like you I was thinking about the Recaro intetior as its only an hour from me but I actually prefer this interior for some reason. My existing black cloth intetior is immaculate so there's no need to get any to be honest.
  20. Leather interior getting fitted on Sunday, retrimmed by MJ and it has Audioscape door pods.
  21. Never took non exciting pics but just home from my hols and popped new leds in the boot and map lights. Need to get my new spacers on the front but I feel the need for new wheels !! Money may be better spent on a headunit or stainless exhaust first though ?
  22. Superb mileage and car, saw it on my FB page earlier as we have the same FB friends. I'm in Uphall.
  23. Part numbers for screws and washers as Sean says
