Anyone fancy a project? https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/corrado-r36-dsg-4-motion-projekt/1803842942-216-19374

England. Always England. I've lived here 6 years now, but still very much English 😅

That steering wheel isn't anywhere near me, but I can definitely sort out postage to me if you want it. It's not a problem at all - I benefitted from this forum many times 10 years ago so I'm happy to return the favour. Let me know if you want me to sort it. Argh, I checked the link and it's just the bodykit they're getting rid of, I definitely would have picked up a set of LM's! I've looked at that yellow one a few times but the colour isn't at all for me. The red one is over my budget. This is the one I'm seeing next week - not mint by any stretch, but only 130k (kilometres), full leather heated recaros, and apparently a limited edition. Also, pretty much full service history, from a VW garage and totally standard engine. https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/vw-corrado-1-8-g60-exklusiv-mit-recaro-129-tkm-oldtimer/1798298947-216-5410

Where??? You got a link??

Germans are picky in general when it comes to shipping. I wouldn't mind actually sorting it for you, but then you might end up paying twice to have it sent back. Where in Germany is the steering wheel? RE: the Exclusiv Edition, seems like there were only 1,419 in total and 500 of them G60's: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/VW_Corrado#Modellvarianten But with VW, who knows. I'll find out when I see this one next weekend....
-
Does anyone know much about the "Exclusive" edition? I'd never heard of them - did we have them back in the UK? Seems like they had every available option....
-
I thought the same! Bizarre. Unfortunately I got a message late last night to say he's decided to keep the car, shame as there was a lot of engine work done, but back to the hunt! @CressaI don't know if Keyo answered your questions, if not then ask away
-
That first one is actually great, but more than I want to pay. I'm off to see this one tomorrow instead https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/corrado-g60/1784447786-216-5304?utm_source=sharesheet&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_android

Hmm. Decided not to go and see this one as I'm not keen on the amount of work that could be there. Also, that car is completely standard, 140k miles with another huge patch of rust on the boot lid, and they're asking for 7.8k.

It's been over 10 years since I owned my Tornado Red G60 (I think a few members benefitted from my mistakes with this car 😞 ) and now after many years, and a new coutnry (now living in Germany) I'm looking to get another Corrado as I have unfinished business! You'd think there would be many more Corrado's here.....you'd also be very wrong. The prices are insane. However, I've found a couple of possibilities, and going to see one on Sunday. However, since I am "new" and can only post in here, I wanted to get some thoughts on how bad this looks....I gor lucky with mine in that I didn't have any rust around the filler cap but this looks like it could be a big job. Are we looking at €1k+ of work here to cut out, replace, and spray? corrado rust.jfif

Maybe, yeah. Shame for us, but good for him really...
-
Any news on this at all Doug?
-
Also sent you a PM as I'm keen on this...
-
Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

Quick question - How much does a G-Lader weigh? I'm trying to get quotes to get it posted but they're coming in at ridiculous prices at the moment...but then my rough estimation was around 2 stone! I tried parcel2g0.com - anyone got any better recommendations? Cheers....
-
All I know is I like them. Sorry for the uninformative post.
-
I was just wondering - the rear side windows in a Corrado - do they add to the structural strength of the body? IE, if they were removed, would it lose a lot of it's rigidness? Thanks.
-
I had been planning on building a big power 8v G60 for my Corrado while the bodywork is being done, ie big valve head and 2l bottom end, and with the spec I had planned would be looking at at least 250bhp, safely. However, I got an email from Bahn Brenner the other day saying they are now producing their 16v Integration kit again, which is very tempting. I could potentially still build it up to a 2ltr with a 9a crank. I want to know the pro's and cons of the two engines, ie will the raised rev limit on a 16v completely rape my charger, and are they reliable or not? Would I be better off sticking 8v? Opinions, and facts please

IMO the rear seats seem pointless, are you keeping them in or getting rid? Nice cage though mate
-
Do you know if they were extended or if they were arches from a different car welded on?
-
There's also a red one in Newquay running a high power 1.8T.
-
Hi mate, is that your car?
-
Hi, hoping you can help me - I saw on this forum ages ago some in progress pictures of an american guy putting extended metal arches on his red corrado - does anyone remember this or can you point me in the right direction? Thanks
-
We've already said that they are Image wheels.... Edit Didn't see the second page....sorry
-
That's what I was thinking.... Just checked out the Image wheels website, some of them a really fookin nice....... 8) As are the prices - never mind though, some might make their way onto my car......
