  1. Hi Mat - can you PM me some pics and a rundown of any damage and/or stone chips etc please? Also how much are you after mate?
  2. Yep hot glue gun is how I done mine Sean. Let us know how you get on :)
  3. Thanks James - I really appreciate the compliment, especially as your own car is really nice.
  4. Those Roose hoses really are well priced. I don't know why I had it in my head they were over £300 a set.
  5. Ok nice one Clumps :) Was very interested in Tomis but these are 2 mins from my house and £300 cheaper, just wondered if there was a difference between early and late seats. Going to go and have a look on Saturday. The cards may be for sale if I buy this interior Andrew
  6. I'd say its unlikely Schimmel cams would be stamped with VW/Audi logos. May be worth calling Stealth and asking?
  7. Jesus mate - that's insane! Glad you're ok. Just goes to show you can be as careful as you like, you will never account for the idiocy of others...
  8. Is this electric and/or heated and if so, does it come with the looms and switches?
  9. *types Corrado into Vimeo...*
  10. Just done this myself - follow Rays guide and you can't go wrong.
  11. Nope no noise whatsoever. The inverter does make a high pitched noise but where I've located it you barely hear it and not at all when the engines running. The wires flexible enough but it doesn't sit flush enough round the centre dial for my taste. My mate said he couldn't see the difference but I can so it will always be gnawing away. So I'm having a rethink at the minute but I'll get there. I used lime green, navy blue and red wires.
  12. A few years back I had a 1972 Type III Fastback - I was the third owner and the second person had owned for about 15 years and for the last five years or so had only driven it to the MOT station and his local main dealer for a yearly service and back. I think it was about 40k it had on the clock and had a full VW service history. The rubber floor mats were mint, the seats felt like they had never been sat on, the heater worked and it drove and even smelt new. When I picked it up it even still had the "Welcome to your new Volkswagen" card hanging from the rear view mirror. Also had a mint, never welded, 70k mile Ford Consul Capri 1500 GT and about 10 years ago bought a 63 Beetle off the original owner - an old German ex POW who had settled here after the war. My first car was a Renault 5 Gordini Turbo which I should have kept hold of - there's virtually none left now :( Actually thinking about it I still wish I had most of my old cars - Audi Quattro, Beetle Karmann Convertible, 1932 Ford Roadster with a flathead V8, 1954 Chevy, 1972 Mini 1275 GT...
  13. Thanks Bully. Yeah it's Lamin-X. They look a lot darker in pictures than in real life. It is quite dark but nowhere near as dark as the pics suggest and is more a greyish colour. Really easy to use as well. Don't know if you know but if you PM Riley on here he'll give you a Lamin-X discount code.
  14. Is there a more touching tribute to a dead film star than a blazing car in a Scottish retail centre car park? I'm sure it's how Paul would want to be remembered. RIP Ford Focus. Beach Boulevard Retail Park Aberdeens rose. X
  15. Nice idea but the UI is ugly as hell and looks so outdated. Not a million miles away from a hard drive based stereo I had about 15 years ago tbh
  16. Thanks Gents :) Sean - take the n/s bolt out, loosen the o/as and it hinges enough to undo the cap - 5 mins max. Not that you ever need to eh Harrier?
  17. Would love to do the climatronic conversion but it's just far too much work. Maybe one day...
  18. It's EL wire. Gonna have to have a rethink though because I've cut most of the strengthening ribs away from around the middle dial, yet I'm still not happy with how it sits. Stay tuned...
  19. Something I've been playing about with. Still needs a little bit of tweaking to get it sitting nicely but I'm pretty happy with it so far
  20. Hahaha ya nob  Stonejag - naïve? Sounds very well thought out to me. My cars getting an oil change before I go and that's it! If it makes it it makes it, if not meh... As for planning the actual trip, we've booked our hotel and that's pretty much it. The ferry or trains gonna be booked just before we go when we're certain which cars will be ready and we'll find somewhere to stay on the way down on the night. Oh and no one who's going speaks a word of German. It's gonna be a nightmare but hopefully a fun one  You and your German language skills are more than welcome to convoy down with us if you want :)
  21. Hahahaha I've watched that video about a million times and it's the main thing that pushed me from talking about going to actually getting my arse in gear and finally sorting it out. Really, really well put together mate - it's quality :) How do you go about joining ADAC Stu? The AA want £170 to upgrade my cover for a week! Baron - I'm already waaaaayyy too old but if I don't do it now I never will...
