Unless there were different revisions I'm afraid that isnt a stock Corrado sunroof. the hammer and guides are different and there is no way for it to pull the trim back into place. I would ether source a stock cassette or look to go down the glass option?
-
from what I remember and can see from your pictures with the sunroof adventure I had :( - that doesn't look like an original Corrado mechanism... if you do source an original the lifters that slide and tilt the internal trim really are made out of monkey metal and snap very easily. maybe try and source a glass panel? Could be worth getting the panel off and getting a few more pictures so we can help identify it too?

Looks very nice! - great work there ;)

I was having thoughts.... but the engine alone owes me £3k :D

I do like those seats! - not a huge fan of full leather, but that is very nice.. and in Recaro flavor too! -
I'm here most days... FB for me is just a pile of steaming brown! for serious advise the forum is the only place. I don't see why it would need to die however quiet it got? - we must be able to rustle up the hosting costs between everyone? or maybe join up with the Scirroco forums? they are saying the same thing.

Welcome along... Loads you can do to the VR lump... Shrick/VSR manifold, Shimmel cams, de-cat/exhaust etc. for bolt-ons or big money head work, MLS head gasket, turbo or supercharging.
-
Does it need one? - I've seen these fitted and then covered as they're potentially over cooling the oil... in road applications of course.

Lack of use I recon! LOL! :D
-
They are... but they are eyewateringly expensive! - I know there is a lot of work that goes into re-manufacturing a part.. but I can recall buying new dealer badges for my MK2 for under £20 - so competition might not be a bad thing.
-
LOL! the thread opener hasn't logged in for almost two years! - I think you'd need a Delorean to secure these now! ;)

Another amazing post Simon... My car is a little off track... any chance you can do me a project plan and a list of part numbers, availability, best source and reassembly procedure? :D :D

Fully agree - I avoid aspartame like the plague! - the people that seem to think Macca's and burger king is a normal everyday food has ruined it for the rest of us when they can't stop stuffing things that for me as a kid where a treat and not by any means a staple! Same as ugly birds ruined pit girls! :D - worlds going bonkers - too many snowflakes.

Whats your budget?

Speak with Lilfuzzer. if he's not got it handy he more than likely will know of one. always great prices and super helpful
-
exactly that... you can park in the most remote corner of an empty car park and you will come back to a 4x4 or an old van and half a dozen shopping trolleys next to you r car... I avoid going in busy times to any supermarket or shopping centre... waaaaaay too peopley for me! - not a fan of people, grubby things :D
-
It's not me that dings it... its the inconsiderate a55 that parks his sh-1t box discovery next to me then ether wallops his door against my car or half a dozen kids pile out doing the same...
-
thats positively the house next door in Corrado terms! :D

Yeah easy to tune, especially the BAM 225 variant. map will give 260+, hybrid KO4 will go 300+ and IHI etc will make 350. I've run modified 20VT's in the past. But dare I say it... the engine is a bit on the dull side... compared to a later TFSI on full song it just seems a bit... well boring? don't get me wrong a great engine! I'm the same as pfnsht these days, it's not all about out right speed which a 20VT will undoubtedly murder most in that department, its a bit more about soundtrack and the fun of driving it.

message Lilfuzzer (Chris) - I'm sure he had wiper parts he was looking at getting rid of a while ago

Need steering rack replacement, may as well do clutch at the same time???
Geeba replied to corrado33's topic in Drivetrain
It would allow easier access to the gearbox.. but make sure you have all the necessary engine supports in above. I'd wait for Canadian summer and do it myself ;) -
The rough running is the Corrado airing it's disappointment as you get behind the wheel of a Ford! ;)

Soon as the word 'shiny' was used the magpie was going to swoop in! :D
