-
tidy i had a good look at a delorean at the end of last year as i spotted one parked up by where i work we have a guy that comes to the gym next door in a DeTomaso Pantera too - ooo the noise from its V12!!!
-
unsure for brembo's specifically i do recall dragon saying that hi HiSpec 4 pots gave a spongier feel than standard but believe they were still very good at stopping i hope so as i have just had some Billet 4's fitted
-
thats a good idea - like an old school charcoal rub we used to do at school it could then be scanned to produce a 2D template & the 3D work done from there
-
i wouldnt know without checking but the page does state healightS as in the plural i have just noticed they also have just the end internal part that adjust the light http://www.tdnparts.com/corrado-euro-light-adjuster-knobs/
-
there is this http://www.tdnparts.com/corrado-euro-light-adjuster-kit/ as an alternative i ended up buying a pair of used full set headlights in which the adjusters werent broken & then frankenstein'd the ones in my valver with the donors
-
i believe it may be & IIRC some people have deleted all together

there was a thread about similar last week - http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?96246-New-road-tax-classification the part i gleaned from the auto express article was " It's important to emphasise that these tax changes do not apply retrospectively so only new cars bought after April 2017 will be taxed under the new system."

really? when i brought mine VW wanted to sell me half of the air intake as well as the valve - whereas ford split it to just the valve however, i have rang ford & yes they are now £62.50 with the vat - double the price since 2009 WTF ford lol they have to order in from factory maybe try Thursdave on here as it is a light item for which postage may be cheap & thus possibly help save a bit of money if it is split around the center it is possible to glue them back together
-
hello there ford used to be the best place for these as they sold just the valve from my build thread "looking at the ford invoice it shows 7364573 & was £32.50+vat" but that was in 2009

nice to see you pop up again Goldie how is life on the sea's? those pieces of rocking horse poop you helped me out with may be making an appearance this year m8 - though i am investigating them for the VR first ;) add - re-felt heater box control flaps to the list when you do your matrix. i regret not doing mine in the valver & have to pull the dash out again when the weather warms
-
i recall my mechanic saying he had to cut into the beam on my VR to get the brake bias valve out - a pig of a job he said!! good luck delfinis

i think many of us are :) i am lucky to have grown up with the below since i was about 10 years old & still fondly remember being woke up by the sound of the flat 6 it has not ran for quite a few years but 1 day, 1 day.....

lol glad it passed fairly quickly ;) i am sure there was someone on here who recently went for a 911 & then changed not too long after, cant recall who though
-

there are some good ones on there Dox - good post i still have the phone number of a guy i met at a car meet who had 'VR6 259' on retention from after he sold his own rado VR but no funds sadly lol
-
ha ha yes i believe we do :) personally i am not against the G60 & if i am honest i would rather like one so as to complete the set ;) lol i was trying to be unbiased (a little), hence why i also mentioned the chains on the VR. my own concern about the G60 would be more about the charger service intervals rather than fear of one exploding its casing lol
-
ha ha ha you couldnt resist could you eh marks2 ;) lol i thought you were going to avoid the G60/VR6 touchy topic ****bites tongue to stop myself****
-
your choice of retrain would be good for our rado rescue centre :) lol
-
i agree with that sentiment Jim - a job should be simply that & not force all of 'go the extra mile' horse sh1t.

it was dark when i went to see my mechanic last night so i didnt get a good look & ive not got the VR back yet but here is a teaser...
-
bless you EJ - i would be missing it too :'( i missed my valver from the very second it drove away & even though i now have it back i wish i hadnt sold it back then my problem is that i just dont seem to like the majority of other cars over how the rado feels. the seats, the cabin & the sheer fact that even after 15 years since first owning one i still look back at them every time i walk away after locking them you know your only solution dont you ;) lol

welcome tony i have both a '90 1.8 16v & a '95 VR6 in fact, i have owned the 16v twice now as i did sell it a few years ago & then brought it back in 2014 - mainly as i loved the Kamei skirt kit that was on it. as sean has mentioned above the difference between them is night & day in terms of performance but also a few differences in aesthetics too maintenance costs are fairly similar from my experience but do make sure you check if the chains have been done if you go for a VR, if the mileage would warrant such. FYI i brought my VR on 94K & had the chains done at 155K - but i also had a head refurb & some light breathing in terms of 263 cams, a BMC air filter & a remap (all done by Stealth Racing in Banbury) which put her up to 209bhp. i thought this would be worthwhile mentioning as the power delivery difference over the standard map is very nice indeed. not that standard is bad, just that the responsiveness & way the power delivers is much better on the remap oh & the sound! yes i shouldnt forget the sound as who needs a stereo when you have the beautiful growl turning into a full on roar as you go up the revs!! it is addictive to say the least & even better with the BMC i also now have a longlife SS exhaust on it which compliments the package very well & produces lovely burbles & pops on low rev gear down changes. there are a couple of videos on my build thread in members gallery if you want to hear ;) one of the other things i love about the VR is how lazy you can drive it if you desire. it will handle pretty much anything tootling along at 20 or 30 in 5th gear, hills, islands etc but with the KW suspension on it should you desire it will make you grin from ear to ear in both the straights & the twisties :D the valver can be lazy driven but doesnt cope so well with hills in high gears i have leather in the VR & love the heated seats in winter but damn it is hot in there in summer. whereas the valver has material seats which are comfortable in both hot & cold my valver, with it being a fairly early model, also doesnt have the issues with ABS as do many VR's beacause it simply doesnt have it as for the other flavours of rado - my parents had a 2.0 16v at the same time i first owned the valver & i recall i didnt really like it that much. it felt a bit flatter than the 1.8 & seemed to lack some guts. IIRC im sure i had heard that the 1.8 16v was a better engine than the 2.0 as well regarding the G60 i too would be fearful of the chargers & the expense to have them serviced/rebuilt properly. my chain work cost a pretty penny but at least i know they should last a very long time, compared to the relatively frequent servicing of the charger - hopefully someone here will know the mileage intervals but i bet they are massively lower than 155K miles lol (with that i have probably opened the usual can of worms that happens when we discuss G60 or VR6 lol) i also kind of get the impression that chargers can be very hit & miss with reliability & can be prone to pop if you are a bit over exuberant with a downshift take your time, if you can, to find the right one for you & avoid the forecourts/traders as they are all trying to make some big profits on there offerings
