  1. I'll go down the garage and take some, Can email pics as I don't have anything online to host pics
  2. Used not stainless, removed from a mk2 vr6 I bought to break due to a rotten shell. It's had some braided flex added to it, £100 Ono Collection from Rotherham/Barnsley/sheffeild area. Plenty more vr6 parts available, will post more when I have more time
  3. That cars all about looks not performance, I expected to see pictures of a smart engine bay this year but he must simply be enjoying the car as it is. Them figures are probably a guesstimate based on power to weight. But he hasn't realy tried that hard to loose weight he's simply sacked off the interior. I really like that car although ied do it very different. 200bhp power to weight is easily acheiveable tho. Theres some very knowledgable 16v folk on ere, some good info available, club gti is also a good source.

The condition isn't too much of a concern as it will be getting a little work. What's your price my good man?

As above, don't need the badge. Reasonably priced please. Payment via bank transfer. Thanks liam
  6. What's especially worrying is how 3 cars some how managed to not see you spin across a motorway. Granted everything moves fast and it would have been dark, but still for the speeds they were probably traveling maybe they ought to be taking alittle more notice of what's going on ahead and around them. I've got a toddler in the back of my car alot of the time, it doesn't bare thinking how I would have dealt with being sat in the fast lane watching that tank come barreling towards us. Well done reacting like you did pal, glad your ok, that's one hell of a good story.
  7. When I welded my sunroof and radio ariel I used very cold wet rags and did small bits at a time and didn't suffer much warping at all, the first lot of filler has sank over the last 6 months and had no cracking what so ever (and my car is my daily and gets a hammering) so it's pretty much ready for it's final skim and finish paint. Been pleasantly suprised
  8. Seen quite a few done but couldn't comment on how it holds up over time, Youed have to weld a strip in as filler would crack out in no time.
  9. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?1648969-16v-Digfant-II-FAQ There you go pal, you may be able to use a abf fuel rail. Worth a look even if you don't do it.
  10. Early mk3 gti/vr6 have 280mms so do corrado vr6/g60, all these car apart from the corrado g60 at 5stud, so you can use there calipers and carriers and then use g60 4stud 280mm disc, so you should find a set on this forum easy enough. As for the engine is it just a case of sacking off the fueling set up you wanting? Americans use 8v set ups (digi 2) I think to remove the kr/9a setups because they never had the option of ands over there. I read a how-to a few years ago possibly on vortex, can't realy comment on how it is tho, maybe worth a read, I'll see if I cannfind it ---------- Post added at 07:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:01 PM ---------- Early mk3 gti/vr6 have 280mms so do corrado vr6/g60, all these car apart from the corrado g60 at 5stud, so you can use there calipers and carriers and then use g60 4stud 280mm disc, so you should find a set on this forum easy enough. 11. Ideally if you don't want the suitcase you need the other boxes to be able to do it's job as well as there own
  12. For 288s on 4stud you either need to re-drill some 5stud discs to 4x100 pcd, or find some blank discs with the correct offset and drill them yourself. If you want to run the 9a on abf management you'll also need abf inlet manifold and throttlebody and possibly a few more bits, not sure how the ecu would deal with the differences, might struggle. You could just get a similar set up on a megasquirt ecu. If you just want rid of the 9a ballaxe. Alternatively put a whole abf in there.
  13. I've two in the garage, one that was on a pas mk2vr6 and one manual from a valver My question is has anyone bolted one up in there corrado as a quick cheap way round the non-adjustable column mod? You could save me some time and trouble. I plan to offer it all up soon to see for myself, as I can't forsee any problems occuring other than possibly the height/angle it sits and possibly the way the cowlings fit.
  14. I need to stop poking my nose in these threads, r32 is increasingly becoming a must.
  15. Had mine done by a Sheffield company a few years ago along with a lot more engine work, a valve stuck in a guide after about 100miles and ruined the lot(£1000 down the toilet) ied not even took it above 2500revs as I was babying it all in. They have a good reputaion for this sort of work but ied go with man in a shed off club gti next time as hes been doing valver heads regulary for years. There's alot of clued up gents on clubgti that offer good engine work. Well worth being a member.
  16. Shouldn't have but were talking old cars and parts here wouldn't be the first time I heard of/experienced a part coming off in working order and then faulty when bolted back up, What engines it off? You might be suprised how many vw power steering pumps are similar enough to find a spare at the local scrappy. There not cheap new.
  17. Bought rooflining from vicki yesterday, lovely lady, easy to find, thanks vicki.
  18. Is the headlining available? ---------- Post added at 10:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:31 AM ---------- Is the headlining available?
  19. The description says 9mm internal diameter which would be too small for the vr6 Rocker cover, these look like the ones available in halfords. As for using them, if your car is your daily your better off with an oil catch tank which continues to be connected to your induction system, problem with these on dailys is breathing in oil vapours when the blowers are on and you can end up with oil all over your engine depending on the condition of your oil. if it's just a case of you want it to look nice and your cars well looked after then there fine. You will also have to plug a hole in your induction pipe were the pcv valve was previously.
  20. There's also a red one in dewsbury. There's a bloke by me who's had this set up in a caddy pick up, he spun up all 4wheels in 3rd outside my mates house. (he's got a vr in now because he kept spinning big ends on the r32.)
  21. Throttle Bodies and ISVs get pretty filthy. Engine components might have been a more fitting use of words Rerouting back into the cam covers a good idea but would be difficult to work out alittle system which can still vent
  22. Vent the dirty oil vapours into a can you can empty rather than your engine breathing it in n out n clogging **** up
  23. Those two hoses are your fuel lines, Ones a return. You can attach your vr6 hoses to them with some smart cutting and hose fastenings.

Hotgolf will also skim some weight off your standard flywheel,
