Also a good time to fit a limited slip diff. I've been collecting parts for this, my plans are vr first and second, g60 third and final drive, I'm still alittle undecided which forth and fifth to go with at the moment, considering a longer fifth from a tdi box for motorway cruising.

A pair of Headlights, as good condition as possible, close to Sheffield/Rotherham/Barnsley ideal so I could collect, otherwise I can do a bank transfer and get em via post. what ya got

Be sad to break a Rado over a Gearbox, If you realy love the car and wanna improve it I'll do the maths and work out a good combo of the boxes above, but otherwise bang the g60 box on and plod on

Vr box won't volt up Mk2 8v box will bolt up but will be rod change and needs a the flywheel and clutch Rado g60 box is a straight bolt on, will feel different to drive due to different ratios If there ll yours and sat in your garage doing nowt you could make a realy good gearbox for a valver out of them

I had this happen when my sunroof seal leaked a few years ago, also had this happen recently since I deleted my sunroof, kept happening when I parked pointing uphill during heavy Rain. Figured it was down to my doors, had a similar thing happen on mk2s

Took a picture of a vr6 one at the scrapyard, The angle on there appeard to be about 45degree, had no tools to measure anything.

I used Audi 90 rear door handles as the panels are fairly flat, I've not got any pics, if I get time I'll pop a door card off and take the linkage out and take a few pics, there's a lad round our way who I'm gunna help with the linkages soon so I'll try n take some pics then

Twice ive been to the scrappy kicked the **** outta a pair of doors (to reduce value) then haggled em down to letting me cut what I need from the doors, I've done this to my old mk2 golf doors and my corrado, welded them in myself, as for the door mech, you drill a hole in your lock on the door opening latch and bend a thin peice of bar to shape to operate the door. I use welding wire as a practice peice then once you have the bends correct make a better stronger pair, peice of ****. Those from venom don't come with any kind of mechanism you have to make that yourself, get a handle from a scrappy and it will all make sense.

How much space do you have between your Cam cover and bonnet? Can you raise your engine alittle to possibly gain space? You can lay a load of blue tack on your cam cover to get a bonnet imprint, and use a hockey pucks and longer bolts, and if your cars lowered your cv joints will be alittle happier too.

Wishbone mountings n steering rack mounts are all the same, you'll need more n just vr wishbones to widen your track, you will also need vr hubs and arb and steering rack, which means you will also be changing to five stud, so you'll also want the vr rear stubs. Along with a change of wheels, and your front brakes need to be considered also as these will now be 5stud. In goin wide track you also gain a few degrees castor which is rarely a bad thing.

When I fitted a later bonnet I gained hp but lost low down torque, jokes asides early wings much like bonnets are different, the later wings have larger wider arches, I currently have an early and late wing each side of the car and the difference is very noticeable. The lines of both bonnets match either wing fine, I agree it's a difficult choice (if you don't care to keep with the cars age) each look good in there own ways. ied be intrested to know the weight differences between both bonnets. I think if I could get hold of an early bonnet in carbon fibre (they exist but ive yet to find one for sale anywere) then personally ied choose early style.

For widetrack you need corrado vr6/mk3 steering rack, driveshafts, wishbones and hubs. Good cheap modification, later mk3 gtis an vr6s had 288 front brakes also, an widetrack set up has a little more castor than the narrow track 4stud set up.

They look good, have you sat them in situ yet? I've found alot of seats are a tight fitdue to the tunnel being so tall and wide (although te drivers side has alittle more space) flip the seats and take a picture so we can see the undersides

All sorted now, Hit the link on the first post if your interested in a affordable set of polycarbonate windows. I'll try to get a separate post with pictures on and off the car and contact details for mike who's having these made

Any idea when you would have them off the car? And If no one come up with a pair closer and sooner would you mind if I popped down and trace them for templates for cad drawings? I'll drop you a few beers to show appreciation. Leicester isn't too far I'll pop by some mates make the trip a bit more worthwhile.

Does anyone have a spare set of rear quarter windows? A gent on club gti is looking to make polycarbonate windows for corrados and needs measurements for the rear quarters. Here's his thread if anyone is intrested in a set. http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=209821&page=8 Thanks Liam.

Vr6 arb fastens different and wider, and if you have done the 4x100 to 5x100widetrack conversion as it sounds like you have, u need a vr6 arb track rods, wishbones, hubs and driveshafts, all these parts are also on mk3 vr6s and mk3 gtis, if your struggling to find track Rods n arb I've got some in my garage

Thanks for the offer pal, but it's a little more than I want to be paying for em.
