Use a multimeter or test lamp to check for voltage across the 2 terminals of the loom connector with the ignition on - it should be running constantly. If there's none there, work your way back up the loom and check for a break

Haven't got around to ordering them yet - but at least now I have comlete set of part#s - I'm really just ordering them as insurance, as it's a long wait to get them made - will go for a set in matte black for that OEM look.

Just got around to replacing my aux water pump which was making a noise like a tractor, but have noticed that coolant gauge now sits about 5-10 degrees higher than it was with the pump unplugged. Does anyone have any insight into it ? Probably nothing to worry about, but just checking. Oh, and I have a low temp radiator switch fitted but a normal thermostat.

What about Ford - do they use the same ABS setup ?
-
Heat or penetrating oil will help - make sure you use a special brake spanner, as these are designed no to round off the unions. Otherwise it will be a cut - most motor factors will do you up a new pipe for very little if you bring the old one with you.

Cheers for that - sorted.

Was about the same for mine - the rear water guides and the front are also available, although they cost about €30 each. Once again talking about VAG superlube! lol:

Just wanted to check - sorting through some spare parts here at home and was wondering if the VR6 had a fan belt/power steetring belt cover fitted like the 4 pot cars ? The part # is 191 825 250 A or for later chassis numbers, 535 825 250 A Thanks.

The repair kit is still readily available from the dealer - I got one about 4 weeks ago - although in the long run you might be better replacing it with a more reliable one - although I have my suspicions that the Corrado one is no worse than any other, it's just that they have not been lubed and checked according to the service schedule.
-
I have a relay from a Mark 3 for this - haven't wired it in yet, but there's a fair bit of info on the german forums - if you get a door switch from a Passat that has two contacts it makes it easier.

Does anyone have the Samco hose part #s for the two oil cooler has that are not included in the VR6 kit, but I understand that they can be ordered seperately ? Cheers.

Metal heat shields loose ?

Feeler - Any interest in stainless thermostatt bolts

Ditto - would be interested in a set, with postage to Ireland, if that's possible ? -
I had exactly the same symptoms and tracked it down to a faulty fuel pressure regulator - not too expensive and easy to replace - it's the silver cylinder that sits at the front of the fuel rail on the off side. Worth a try.
-
Will definitely take 2 sets - thanks, and great work on trying to get these sorted.

THE Corrado Forum 2.0 FEEDBACK THREAD

Is there still a quick link for viewing "my posts" ? -
Mine had 36k on it when I bought it nearly 2 years ago - now has 47k. Having said that you're still dealing with a 17 year old car, so low mileage isn't everything. Some parts are just going to go over time, and rust never sleeps.

@Diesel Junior Not fitted it yet - in typical corrado fashion the sunroof broke, and the aux water pump died and the oil cooler seals need replacing. So the cc has moved down the list. Do you have OEM cc or an aftermarket fit ? My only problem is where to take the RPM signal from, as I don't have a clutch sensor - I'm thinking the coil.

Came across these fuse holders from Posi Products - the nice thing is that there is no soldering or crimping - just trim the wire and the exposed part is inserted into one of the end caps and tightened. I've used the blade holder to sort out an alarm fuse problem where the install monkey has used a push on spade that kept coming loose - no alarm, no car. The second one is handy for the headlight earth fuse preventative install - will take a Maplins 200 ma fuse. They are a bit pricey but worth it. They also do a nice vampire tap along the same lines and an inline splicer as well as waterproof ones. Available online from the manufacturer or from Radionics - might be worth a group buy as the price comes down with quantity. Just search for posi tap or posi twist.

SpoonFedTuning 70mm front spoiler and rear wing group buy
fendervg replied to dogger's topic in Forum Group-Buys
@kevhaywire Over here in eire it's not that your car is riding low, but there are so many speed bumps. potholes and dodgy ramps that a 90 mm just grounds constantly - and my car is on OEM suspension ! Lost both my air duct panels from the bottom recently, they make some racket before they die - so I guess 70mm has to be a good compromise, as the 50 seems obsolete and is a bit small. -

SpoonFedTuning 70mm front spoiler and rear wing group buy

Interested in the black oem style 70mm spoiler...thanks -
Just did a quick bleed of the m/c and abs pump today - no one had touched the pump - the nipples were nearly seized, and there was some air in the m/c as well. Forgot to kill the brake vaccuum by pumping the pedal first though! The brakes are now better - still a fair bit of pedal travel but much more powerful. I'm going to take it to VAG to get a proper pressure bleed done - and if that doesn't work give it a full run through with ATE Blue racing fluid and eazy bleed. Next up is the aux water pump, and then sunroof repair.
