i bought the car without a front spoiler

afternoon people,

just bought a 50m front spoiler, the guy at gpc said that to fit it you need to buy screws from vw, is this true or can i just use normal screws?? he said that he would put them in with the spoiler if he had any but i am just asking in case!!

Out of curiosity can a g60 be driven without the g-lader, if it has been sent away for repair is the car still driveable?? sorry if this is a dumb ass question!!!

yeah i meant its too low for the 50mm, we have some real high bumps over here and a lot of them so i cant be mucking about going over slowly with some sterring lock on and so forth!!! thanks anyway.

any ideas what i can put on to tidy up the front end?? cant be to big though as need to get over bumps without too much fuss!!

if i got a second hand set of clocks and installed them would the mfa then work or does it need setting up??

yeah it did lock the car, so i guess theres a leak in the pipes running to the doors/boot, cheers lads!!

only had my 1.8 16v for a few weeks, it was really cheap so bought it with a few niggles, the mfa computer lights up but nothing comes on, looks like the MFA Screen is cracked or has been pushed in, i dont think its clocked because its done 123k no one would bother clocking it to that!!! are the MFA Repairable???

Does anyone know if central locking can be expensive to fix, my pump still works as i can hear it working but it doesnt open the doors, the car is alarmed with full closure but due to the central locking packing up i just took out the pump. i now have to dearm it and manually open which aint the end of the world, but when it needs petrol i have to open the boot and release the fuel cap from behind the carpet trim in the boot, any ideas!!!???

I always use Optimax, its worth that little bit extra, compared to all the other money you will have to spend if the engine dies!!!

ive been told by a mate of myne thats got a mk2 gti 16v to use leaded petrol every few tanks of optimax,would this do any good? i have 1.8 16v c

yeah myne is the 12 gallon one, the gauge is knackered though, you fill it up and it just stops dead at half but doesnt move until half a tank is gone!!!

You would want to get the part rubbed down mate as it will look shit if ya dont!!!! you dont need to get the whole car sprayed it WILL match! if you get a whole respray your looking at at least £1000, i had loads of paint done on my corrado recently, i had both bumpers, both doors,both sills and a respray and dent removal on the front wing, it all came to close £500 but that was trade price!!!

do you think if you crepped over bumps you get over in a low car??

My car is lowered, not sure exactly (bought it like that) how much but looks about as low as it will go without rubbing wheels, if i was to put the original 90mm or 50mm front spoiler would it scrape over speed bumps???

I am only 18 and drive a 1.8 16v! the insurance is £2500!!!!!! the only reason I was able to get this quote was to say that i only do 6000 miles a year, otherwise i was looking at close to £4000!!!! i use elephant.co.uk, youll get a real cheap quote there!!! also i cant work out how they check your annual mileage because they dont ask for your mileage when you start the policy so you could say a real low mileage to get a real low quote!

Oh yeah and also thamks for replying to my posts so quickly, that was the first time i used the forum and im definiteley gona be using it all the time now!!!!

I have just bought a 89 16v corrado and assumed it runs on unleaded, but I was flicking through a corrado brochure and it says that you can only use unleaded if it is 98 RON???? Can i run the car on just plain old unleaded???
