When i tried to start my car earlier.........nothing, i got the sound of the fuel pump doing its job and a nasty screeching noise, luckily a mate of myne got it going by bumping it, he knows alot about cars and says its defo the starter motor, the screeching noise is the starter motor trying to start but the teeth are not meeting properley or something? Does anyone else agree its the starter motor? when i got back home i stopped the engine and tried to start it again.....nothing, went out about an hour later and it started fine and did so about three times afterwards. This has been happening for a few weeks now but has always started after the first or second try, until today! Also i dont always get the screeching noise, sometimes all i can hear is the fuel pump.

think theyre 25 quid for a pair mate

We could probable get em in mate, the exhaust mounts that is, not the schricks!!

Ive just bought 4 of these, 17'' with toyos all brand new for £250!!!!

They have been sitting around for about a year at work (halfords) so I offered my manager £250 and he said yes!!! At the moment i can only find one of the centre caps, can I get these from BBS? Any ideas on price??

I didnt say it wernt nice I just said that rare cars should be left how nature intended in my opinion, if you had a storm would you mod alot of the things that make it a storm? i.e, wheels, grill?

Agree with jim it is very nice and the mileage is even better, why o why did you modify it though :roll: Its a storm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont get me wrong if it was a normal VR6 then the mods you have are nice but......... In my opinion it is a crime to mod such a rare car, especially in that condition. No offence mate just my opinion. :wink:

Sometimes when i go to start the car i get a strange grinding,sucking noise?? The sound seems to come from the rear of the car i think? It usually only happens when i try to start the car while giving it some throttle. When i get this noise it usually takes about three attempts to get it started normally. Apart from this all is perfect 8)

When you fit head untis in vw's the power leads need to be swapped around, the red and yellow power wires coming out of the head unit need to be switched, i.e they are now red to red, yellow to yellow, they need to be red to yellow, red to yellow. Give that a try mate :lol:

This thing is awesome, it handles better than the Corrado and goes like a rocket. I know its a ricer but come on its a P1 8) It belongs to a mate of my dads who went away for the weekend and left the keys with my dad, lucky for me my dads not into cars so i got the keys :twisted:

Ive seen a few in the SW London area but no-one beeps,flashes or waves :cry: I think if you dont acknowledge fellow C drivers it means your just driving it because its a car (and not a way of life!) and have no enthusiasm for the car whatsoever :wink:

I see your in London mate, if you wanna come down to the wandsworth halfords i can get you a nice 15% discount and one of the guys that works on ripspeed with me is an audio guru, he will be able to choose you a nice setup!! Weve got a nice selection of audio equipment and if we aint got it we CAN get it, no probs.

My 1.8 16v can produce very low mpg,about the same as yours if it is ragged. Try driving like a saint for a bit and you will see that MPG get alot better! As for it being slow under 3k, thats just a chracteristic of a 16v engine, they only get quick at about 4k and over, all the way to the red line :-P

I always recomend autoglym,its the dogs, and I also recomend people look at the link in my sig to see what it can do 8)

yeah i have 0 no claims and live in London. luckily its a nice part though :lol: I didnt pay the insurance, the goverment did 8)

mynes nearly another grand on top of that :idea: and thats tpft!!!!!! only another year and a bit till i venture into VR6 teritory!

as soon as anyone will insure me on a VR6 i will be getting one, how much do you pay jedi?
