So I got my spare gearbox fitted a couple of weeks ago but was done in by the slave clutch cylinder pipe. It was goosed, the rubber had started perishing a long time ago by the looks. Do bought a new TRW slave cylinder and ordered a HEL master to slave line off of EBay. Both wrong, one with bangs and the other with 10 and 12 mm fittings. Totally fed up with EBay thought I’d try a local supplier. Jackpot, dropped on or found a firm called Carlton Hydraulics in Rotherham. After 10 mins of showing him what was removed from the car I had the pipe with the correct fittings that had been pressure tested. I also had it fitted on the car in about the same time once home as it took to make, excellent. it fits where it should and doesn’t leak. About £40. If anybody else is wanting to replace the slave feed they are the ones to contact.

They look the nuts mate. Definitely the right choice there. Win some eventually in this Corrado world.

Only a file photo from 2 years ago. Put standard lights on since. But I know what you mean. A photo is a thousand words.

On my list too. Well done for pointing this out mate 👍

A 30 year old car is always going to have issues mate. Well done for cracking on.

It’s easy with the full on Corrado guys, just want it it work like it should. Be on it like Errol Flin for anything like this at a reasonable price 🤣👍🤣🤣👍

£25 Deposit paid Cheers

When the Corrado first came out I heard from the dealer that the spoiler raised at about 80 mph or more. The police found this fairly helpful so there was a recall and they put one in that was 45 ish then changed to 55-58 mph with 1992 face lift. Congratulations by the way on your new purchase

At least he was used to spending money, it would have come in handy moving to the M3 🤣😂😂👍

Pretty sure the hatch will, fit mine did. You’ve got to love new paint, it looks the nuts

The flap, is that the tailgate. Bet it’s got a hole for the third brake light

Car side mouldings were early and late too

It’s definitely moving in the right direction. Just in time for the improving weather, good stuff

I’ve found the cheap repeaters off of EBay have like a plastic rubber seal that won’t compress and ended up using the seals from my Oe repeaters which were more foam like.

I believe/know he charges a lot more by the hour. It all adds up especially with premium options before you know it you’ve got a £7k rebuild
-
Agree. Glad you got what you wanted for it without dealing with dib dobs. Did the man take all your Corrado hoard with him in the sale

If it’s been say for years as you say, it’s probably valve stem seals and such in the head that’s gone all hard. The block may still be good with that mileage and may not need a rebore. Stealth quoted in the region of £1500 for head refurb, chains and guides a couple of years ago. If the block needs work when he opens it up, your car is in the right garage for the work. Get the crank seals done while it’s in bits either way though. It’s well worth asking to speak to Vince and get a quote, he really does know the VR6 and doesn’t waste your money or time.

Too cheap

I’ve been watching him for a bit. Entertaining and informative

Inner just pops off with a flat edge, it only clips on. outer has a screw from the inside holding it place, there is a plastic cap on the screw head to be popped off
