  1. That seat cover looks handy.
  2. Mine was a box of bits when I bought the car, proper head job, I feel your pain. Did you do braided front brake lines on this car
  3. You also have to understand the terminology difference between cranking, trying to fire up and running
  4. Spraying easy start into the throttle body should/will have no effect on whether or not it cranks on demand with the key, it must be coincidence. I would check change the starter key switch on the bottom of the barreland maybe the barrel as sometimes they wear due to big bunches of keys hanging off the car key. If still nothing check the wiring and ground to the starter motor and starter motor itself
  5. That looks brand new. Well done
  6. Very sad, can’t see you having it that long at that price and spec. I’ll be surprised if you still own that in April, if not gone by next week.
  7. Shaun’s world has taken a spin in the wrong direction again. So this weekend I carried on making the car pretty. Gave it a good wash and after having 2 new pilot sport 4’s put on the front wheels, I gave the wheels a good buff and platinum wheels ceramic coating before refitting. Sunday afternoon me and my mate went somewhere deserted to test the decibel levels of our cars for possible track use. You’ve got to laugh. All went well up until the 2 mile drive home. A combination of the new sticky tyres, more boost than should have been present and a way too heavy right foot. The inevitable, I’ve stripped/broken third gear and my gear box sounds like a cement mixer with bricks in it, ffs. So now I have a really pretty car that’s proper goosed again.Double FFS. At least I took a couple of photos while it was out for an hour. Be nice not to have to take the front end off again but at least I have another box but not with a Quaif lsd. I wonder if the LSD is goosed now too though
  8. Had my M3 serviced by the Doncaster main BMW dealer of the time. Picked it up dirty as hell, apparently their cleaning equipment was broken. Called at the petrol station to fill up, over shot the filler so reversed a little. The bloody back wheel fell off into the arch as the bolts had all come undone. Wheels falling off isn’t that dangerous on a fuel court, I was heading for the A1. phoned the dealer up and they recovered it. Got nothing from them for my troubles and they were taken over shortly afterwards by another firm. I was absolutely fuming but without throwing a lot of money and time at it what do you do. Sold the car not long after in exchange for my Crossfire from the Chrysler main dealer and vowed never to own a BMW ever again. Also they had over charged me for a test drive which service 2 includes so got £100 +back off of the £1000+ service charge.
  9. Thermostat might be stuck open. Does it take an age to get to 70
  10. I don’t know the proper part number I’m afraid but couldn’t you use a speed nut or captive nut like below. https://www.eurocarparts.com/search/300330970?type=shopping&msclkid=d7e8d2334ec315c86d72b013b925bfc7&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Shopping - Brands&utm_term=4579809529099503&utm_content=Shopping - Miscellaneous Engine Parts-1 - OE-Quality https://www.bing.com/search?q=captive+nut&form=APIPH1&PC=APPL
  11. You’ve just not to be do precious with it, it only paint. Kids grow up in no time too
  12. My pleasure JF Working away at the moment but should be able to get them posted at the weekend. I’ll let you know.
  13. Fitted mate with no issues what so ever, blue to blue and return, then you are golden. Funnily enough when the guy at stealth was taking them off I noticed they had previously fitted the white writing going to return Return line is blue and one rubber pipe has blue writing on it the other white writing. Basically the pipes were swapped for each other, meaning they are quite flexible and even someone confused can make them fit nice as I’d never noticed they’d made a mistake before. I wanted new ones as the originals had a couple of gashes/nicks in them, not ideal for a fuel line passing the exhaust. I didn’t create the gashes/nicks either. To be honest I’d fit them myself now I’ve got some proper stainless crimp clips. Cost a few quid to watch the lad fumble his way through it, squirting petrol all over.
  14. Maybe then. Just bought some new clips that hold the rubber fuel lines to the head. Does anybody want 2 for £20 inc postage 🤣🤣. I had to buy more to get the bloody price down
  15. I see your thinking now. Can’t see why not, or they’ve missed a number 5 out.
  16. What number is the rusty bit in your photo then
  17. It looks like 10 is 4+ 5 + 19 and plastic pipe to bay.
  18. Dose not no 10 include no 4 etc to the engine bay
  19. Oh I have an early wing as well that is bugger all good for me
  20. New drivers rear quarter panel 3 or 4 years ago bargain compared to Herritage or classics, don’t need it now but what if, I can’t get it in the loft it won’t fit, so it lives in my office 😖. 10 years ownership of new fog lights, indicators and side strips and a spare roof strip set. 5 years of non turbo stuff in the loft in case I go oem, 11” spall fan set up, oem fans and new shroud with hella radiator, switches, fixings little bits of plastic in a box worth a fortune. It goes on, but if you own a carrado you want quick fixes not moths of searching and over pricing so I buy when I think it’s a reasonable price that I can get my money back, it’s not a profit thing, I wish it was.
  21. Just try fitting it without, I’d have took mine to bits and photo’d it for you but mine doesn’t lift up anymore, it’s fell off or broken. If it’s as it should be it’s just another point for plastic on plastic to make noise. I was looking at mine at the weekend after you posted and thought feck it, it looks alright and more importantly it doesn’t squeak or rattle.
