  1. So, one day to go! Looks like the weather might not be so great, but hey! It's England and summer - so I'm still going! 8.45 - 9 meet at the White Hart pub in Cadnam SO40 2NP - probably best not to park in their car park at that time after their Saturday night, so as near as we can get without being annoying! Jay - do you want to meet at the lay-by on the Ringwood turnoff just by the road to Salisbury at 8.40? I'll PM my number. Everyone welcome. The more the merrier! Jez
  2. Hi, Can you PM me please - UK buyer. Late spec please. Cheers. Jez
  3. 9 works for me. I'll post up in Dorset Corrado and the Southern C FB pages later. See if we can't scoop a few more in. Owen has got a part from the U.S. for his G60 so hopefully he'll be free too.
  4. Sounds good. SO40 2NP?! What time do we meet. I need to see when gates are open.
  5. I'm off to Volksfest on Sunday possibly. Made my mind up about the 28th and I'm going to Beaulieu weather permitting. So, is there a cunning plan?!
  6. Well, if we get a posse together...?!
  7. I think I'll leave my call until nearer the time. And weather!
  8. Just realised, this clashes with the local VW at the Pub in Wimborne. Bugger - what to do?
  9. I've only used water to get rid of really think dirt. The carnauba in show n shine floats any dust and light dirt off. I do the same with the microfibres cloths and have dozens of the bleeders! They are everywhere!! Part the reason for not using water is the lock up isn't right next to the house. It's also really useful to have a bottle of cleaner when I'm at a show just to get rid of any travel dust - I wish I could apply all this to the house! On the hunt for se Ag HD wax today.
  10. I haven't used water to clean the car for about four years save for once when I had to go through cow slurry running across a lane! I just use Show n Shine which is really good at what it does. However, I might see what the wax would do on top. Am detailing the rest of the car after spending about 3 hours doing the wheels and arches last weekend!
  11. Cadnam - that's the place! Not sure yet where but it's just off the M27 for those from the east and A31 from the west.
  12. I'll get my thinking cap on! I'm guessing somewhere just off the motorway before dropping down to the coast?
  13. I was yagging on FB that we need a meet of the Dorset crew. The last one we managed 7 cars. So, I fancy this one. It'd be good to meet up somewhere prior?
  14. White N-plate in Devizes Road, Salisbury. Driving the Flog but got a wave from bemused driver!
  15. Nice looking green VR? By the Tarrants on the way to Blandford from Salisbury. Second spot went to the other silver VR in town - L-plate. First I've seen it this year!
  16. Tidy bronze coloured C in Wimborne, Dorset spotted today. Not sure of type, but looked far too tidy!
  17. Spotted a blue VR6 in Pokesdown, Bournemouth this afternoon. No one I recognised locally! A new addition to Dorset Corrado?
  18. Just spotted on Watchdog of all places!
  19. Crap. I just hit the button to send an email to the Storm dealer wanting to find out how many previous owners, service history etc. Then from nowhere the Mrs's voice was ringing in my head. "No more cars"! :geek:

    We're doomed.

Top Gear hasn't got much to do with cars. Just view it as light entertainment. As for smashing up old cars - taking another Morris Marina off the road is nothing but a good thing! Piece of BL crap!
  21. What I didn't to my Corrado today - Ray replaced the top mounts, replaced the front engine mount - two studs broke and had to be drilled. Nipped the rear wheel bearing which isn't curing the squeak issue. What I did to my Corrado was - replaced the yellow side indicators for clear ( so much better on a silver car), cleaned the wheels and managed to drop one scuffing the finish. So, it was safer just watching Ray do the rest of the work!

    Sump rust treatment

Cheers. So the rust treatment should be ok?
  23. Hi, My sump is pretty rusty from when I was running the old girl through the winters. Before it gets worse I was going to ; Lightly rub off bad flaking rust Treat with Zinc 182 Anti rust Treatment Spray with Simoniz High Temp Paint Does this sound alright? The bit that worries me is the anti rust treatment being flammable. Will it be ok when it goes off or not ? Might sound stupid, but not as stupid as looking at a pile of burnt out C!
  24. Cheers Bud! Got a wheel bearing, rocker gasket to get fixed before I start cleaning!
