theRuler 0 Posted October 25, 2004 I had a whole host of running probs on my VR6: poor / no idle unresponsive pickup (nightmare on roundabouts) poor starting (whether hot or cold) embarrassing at petrol stations oh and a petrolly smell. one (or both) of the 2 pipes that join the fuel rail was dripping slightly had been doing so for a few months now. i'd been looking towards replacing the pipes, but yesterday i just bought 2 hose clips for 1.20 each, slid the original clips back, and put these on. now its all fine with no leaks. it's probably obvious but i think my running trubs were down to low fuel pressure. the original clips were pretty worn. i uncompressed them and slid them back using only my fingers.
