jboyslick 0 Posted July 14, 2005 Hi All, does anyone know a mechanic they would recommend to work on my rado? not fussed on cost as long as we're not talking dealer prices!, but have to know their stuff. Any replies greatly appreciated
bristolbaron 10 Posted July 14, 2005 i recently recommended clive at luckams garage in redland, bristol to butterfly she seemed happy with the service, i've been using them for a while and a mate with a 16v does too. PM me for mob no if you're interested. Where abouts are you based?
Guest Posted July 14, 2005 Yep Clive got mine back on the road after a big MOT failure, at half the price my dealer was quoting and at short notice. He also pointed out a few other things that ought to be done. Only proviso I would make is what work do you need doing as I'm not sure he is fully conversant with the VR6 engine itself (can't speak for 16v or G60, for those ask Bristolbaron)

They sponsored a team in the Downs League as well, which I think is cool! I have been taking my car to PC Motors in Horfield, who are a VW specialist, although fairly small. The lad there has a nice Vento VR6. They were also recommended by a friend at work who also has a Corrado VR6. I would be interested in other experiences, though. A builder chap I was talking to said if he wants something proper doing, he takes his Sciroccos to Graham Batt, who are apparently not cheap, but very good: http://www.grahambatt.co.uk/ Has anyone else used Graham Batts? On the Feeder Road in St Phillips.
Guest Posted August 14, 2005 When I was checking out places for my MOT work I spoke to Graham Batt. They were extreamly helpful but too pricey for all the work I needed doing.
