removing trim around switches, dash etc

any ideas, how do i remove the trim that goes around the dash, the peice behind the switches, im thinking of spraying them. any ideas?>?

Is it an early or a late dash? I don't know if it makes any difference but the more info the better... I'd prob start with removing the stereo, heater controls, clocks etc and have a good look for screws!

 

Personally I'm not keen on painted dash inserts and think they can look very tacky if a dodgy colour...
