ignition switch problem.(sorted)

I removed the push start button that I had in my car and changed the ignition switch with a new one but now it does'nt want to start any more,it cranks over but will not start? so I thought a faulty ignition switch again, I went ahead and got another one and still will not start ..any idea's? :roll: it starts fine when I put the old ignition switch but only with the start button :roll: :roll: :roll:

Was the start button connected into any other circuit? Could some wires for an immobiliser be involved along the line somewhere?

Got it sorted ....it turned out that the both new switches were faulty.:shock:

I am now going to do the ignition timing ,any way of doing it without a timing light??.
