Hot fans - ALWAYS!!!

Recommended Posts

Why is it that whenever you put the fans on (both of my VRs have done it) in hot weather, the cold setting always blows stupidly hot? I know the ambient temp is high, but Im sure my missus car doesnt blow anywhere near as hot.

It was even really warm on the motorway the other week, and the outside temp wasnt "that" bad.

Is it to do with where the air is taken from? Can it be taken from somewhere else, or is it just tough? Its great in the winter, but not too 8) in the summer.

Anyone else have the same problem?

see if the flap is working in the airbox.

it's the smae as a mk2, the little gear ont he bottom breaks.

usually caused by switching the temperature control when the fan is on full. you should never adjust the settings on the heater unless the fans are OFF.

See here

You don't have to remove the heaterbox or matrix. If cog is broke slide it out and replace with one from breakers.

Read the posts lots of info.
