Trig 0 Posted July 19, 2006 Basically what it says on the tin. Both my heater controls and cigarette lighter don't light up at night when I put the headlights on. Are they on the same loom? I'm assuming it's not bulb related as they both don't work (pretty sure they stopped at the same time). All other interior lights work. Had the fronts off and stereo out but it's pretty hard to work out what's going on back there. All connections look OK, where to the looms for the heater lights and cifarette lighter come from? Cheers Trig.
gradeAfailure 0 Posted July 19, 2006 I'd still be inclined to check the continuity of the bulbs first, both have a habit of blowing with alarming regularity...!
Trig 0 Posted July 19, 2006 Ok will give that a go, is there another bulb the same on something else which I can pinch to try it out?
Supercharged 2 Posted July 19, 2006 Yeah - cig lighter is easy to check - just stick a meter on the pins an the bottom (no need to take bulb out to start will)
smee 0 Posted July 20, 2006 I've got exactly the same thing, plus my glovebox light bulb has blown too, and I can't find the bulb I need! 12v 3w, v.small, neither Halfords or Maplins have 'em!
