mildly weird C/L problem

Recommended Posts

searched but couldnt find...i could just be stoopid.

if i lock the car from the drivers door, the CL works, from the other side it doesnt and from the alarm remote it doesnt.

so the central locking isnt locking the drivers door.

its been suggested i might have a kink in a pipe somewhere....

anyone else had this problem?

anyone suggest first place to look as far as troubleshooting goes?

cheers

chris

Hey Chris, my issues started out similar (but the passenger side was intermittant).

I'd suggest everything that Henny and the others helped me with.

CL pump in drivers rear 1/4 under carpet, diconnect main car pip and blow, if you can there's a leak. Then try door ends, remove cards and have a feel about (my divers pipe wasn't seated, bit of fiddling and robert was a reletive!). If not then two areas under the dash.

Have a look at my thred. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45144

If not Pneumatics then electrics....

Best O' Luck

well that was easy to fix.

turned out the door actuator was attatched to.....nothing

reattached, everythings working.

also the side impact bar was loose in the bottom of the door with the bolts sellotaped to it....

No mate, but on reading this again mine isnt exactly the same. My problem is that I cant lock the central locking by pressing the nob down inside the car.

i had that problem. think it was something that was done when the vw/scorpion alarm was fitted. spent a whole weekend trying stuff but failed. i ended up wiring in a switch inside to control them. mine doesn;t lock with the key either.
