Electric window functions (using corrado loom in a mk2 golf)

Recommended Posts

This on behalf of a friend of mine who has fitted the loom, control box and switches from a Corrado to his mk2 golf

"

Ok I've fitted a Corrado electric window loom to my Golf, and I have a couple of questions:

1) Is it supposed to be always on? I cxant find any ignition live feeds in the diagrams so I assume it is...

2) I assumed the white/brown wire in the fusebox area was an earth, but looking at the diagrams it actually runs to the door pin switch? What is the purpose of it then? Prevent you from opening/closeing the windows when the doors are open?

Edit:

3) What is the yellow/red wire for? It runs to the door switch looking at the diagrams, so I'm assuming its for the total closure. How does this work, is the wire earthed or 12v sent down it?"

We appreciate any help with this

Thanks

James
