ZippyVR6 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Does anyone know of a VW man in the four marks, alton area that does general servicing and can reset the service indicator on a MK4 golf? My aunt has driven shiteroens for years and used a one man band citroen mechanic for years but he cant do VWs (typical as I spent years estolling the virtues of dubs to wean her off the wobbly plastic monsters) so she is looking for a new spanner monkey. I thought of the phirm but not sure if that would be suitable. any ideas? Thankyouplees
gradeAfailure 0 Posted August 17, 2006 Well, Tim and Ian at the Phirm are both ex-VAG, so could well be fine - they're kind of in the middle of nowhere though, so may not be suitable due to that...
Jimbo 0 Posted August 21, 2006 If you dont mind travelling a bit further down the road to North Baddesley I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Steve Monk. Steve is ex-VAG (left because he's a good honest guy with morales!) Seriously though he is awesome and very resonable, I recently had a major service carried out on the S3 and a couple of other bits and it cost me a good couple of hundred less than the equivalent Audi Service, and whats more thats using all VAG parts etc. Monks Auto Mechanical Services can be contacted on 023 8074 1039 You may have to leave a message as he is usually uber busy.
