tonedef 9 Posted January 23, 2007 Have you tried connecting it in to the existing wiring and checking everything works OK even if the stalk is not in the right place? If so then it's simply a case of extending the wiring surely, soldering iron, wire and heat shrink, job done.
-Neil- 0 Posted January 23, 2007 I dont get what you mean by 'Have you tried connecting it in to the existing wiring and checking everything works OK even if the stalk is not in the right place?' The lead for MFA wont actually reach the socket for the plug as its 15" too short! but dont realy want to start chopping wiring up, just want a plug and play one. tonedef 9 Posted January 23, 2007 I was just wondering if you'd tried plugging the new stalk into the existing wiring on the car even though it wouldn't be in the right place on the column, if so and if it all works OK then it's simply a case of making the wires long enough to fit everything up properly. Of course if one with the right lenth cable is easy to get then go for that one.
-Neil- 0 Posted January 23, 2007 yeah, the socket for the plug is tucked right behind the steering shroud making it hard to get to. Think ill try n get a corrado stalk.
