Got some beru leads recently from these guys. Although they're black, they are identical to the red ones I removed and they're well cheap!

I'm about to order some HT leads for my VR, the ones on mine are cheap and crap. Can I assume the ones from VWspares are at least as good as VAG ones?

 

The guy on the phone said Beru made the original VW ones?

The standard red ones from VW are made by Beru- they look identical to the black Beru ones from VWspares (apart from the colour of course!).

Yeah - VW Spares ones are Beru and seem to be great quality. Running them on my valver with no ill effects..

Are the Beru leads the same length and diameter as the original leads?

Yep.

 

Though I will say from my own experience that the leads listed by VW spares are the same for the KR and 9A engines - not sure if there are some slightly different measurements under the engine bay but my leads are very snug and a tight fit across the inlet manifold, when the ones that came off it had a bit more slack in them. Maybe they fit on the KR a bit better?

 

But VR6 leads are VR6 leads. You shouldn't have problems with those.
