car is coming along nicely

Recommended Posts

quick history:

car started off twilight violet 1995 vr6 totally standard

corrado1.jpg

got bored and wanted to do something fun with it

so painted it pepper white with a black roof and carbon fibre spoiler

while in the body shop the car got totally smoothed with the arches being pulled out an inch all round and the flat edge rounded off.

rear wiper taken off, washer jets taken off, and roof ariel taken off.

so now it is oficially LOW and WIDE 8) downandoutcorrado.jpg

then decided to get some new wheels which i picked up today and fitted.

9x17 rears and 8x17 front with 205/40/17 strrrrrretched on

next thing on the list is the interior as it is just standard at the min apart from a nice set of mr beige shift lights and a b&m shifter.

car has a carbonio induction kit

6 branch raceland manifold and decat

magnex exhaust system

coilovers

I didnt do the work myself.

A friend ownsa local body shop and the car was in for 5 months having extensive work done.

Every dent and ripple was identified and removed and the car was pulled apart then painted and rebuilt. All panels were stripped off the car to be painted so there would never be any of the original colour left.

the bodyshop is TSD in Bangor Northern Ireland.

had to get the carbon spoiler made, another mate builds rally car panels in kevlar so he was able to take a mould and make me a real carbon one.

cheers for the comments guys.

I am going to refurb my front ones over the winter and maybe put stainless lips on rather than the standard laquered aluminium ones.

the car isnt the standard corrado white, its BMW mini pepper white. wanted to do something a bit different than the norm ;)

im in Northern Ireland and a polish guy called Aric did the retrim he is based in Ballymena and works for carnoisseur.

The retrim for door cards quarter panels, front and rear seats, gear knob and gaiter, and steering wheel (not fitted yet) was £1100 which I didnt think was too bad.
