TSR throttle body for a VR6

Anyone know anything about these? Seen one for sale, just wondering whether it will make any difference. Apparently its been removed from a TSR VR6 engine after a car crash but the seller doesn't really know what is different about it

Id imagine its bored out to a larger size and smoothed out..

 

the one i have is like that but it came from Double6s on here who got it from somewhere else..

They make a bit of difference to throttle response, and a nice change to the sound :)

How big is the TSR body bored to? Bearing in mind the ABV has a bigger bore body than the AAA 2.8 in the first place ..

2.8 and 2.9 have exactly the same throttle plate and bore, but the 2.8 has a 'ramp' in it to speed up low rpm gas flow. The 2.9 throttle uses a 2 stage opening mechanism instead, to mimic the ramp....opens very slowly for the first few mm, then opens very quickly.
