Steering wheel nut size

Hi Guys, search came back a bit ambigous...

 

What size nut and splines am I likely to have on a 92 9a16v? Early interior but a 3-spoke wheel?

 

Wondering ahead of a wheel change..

All i can say is its 22-23mm socket sorry it doesnt help.

23mm nut, large spline IIRC...

 

Think all Rado splines are the same (large type), I put a late G60 wheel in my old early valver...

24mm nut on later cars (my valver at least), not sure about early cars.

Rofl @ Bill Cause I do and so loking forward to getting some quality "Rimmage" in my hands!

 

So far its either 22/23/24mm anyone got a 92 (crossover, late shell early interior) that they can check on for me before I go to Helfrauds and buy the wrong socket?

My money is on it being a 24mm tbh.. was the same in my mk1, cab and C ;)

24 mm my mk2 golf ,corrado and mk3 all been the same

all my v.a.g. cars have a 24mm nut on the steering wheel and always have had or 15/16ths in imperial.

24mm on all large spline VAGs as far as i'm aware.

 

has been on my '91 rado, 'all 4 of my mk2s i've owned over the years, couple of passats and an old A6 avant i had.
