Jim 2 Posted February 16, 2009 I can imagine a conversation with the un-initiated "Why does it have Porsche wheels on an Audi..?" and an answer along the lines of "Because it's at least as quick as a Porsche!" :) Very nice, very Audi - understated and will blow your doors off! 20vturbo 0 Posted February 16, 2009 the thing that really amazes me is the fact that the car has done nearly 80,000 miles since the conversion and never not even once had any problems, which is somthing that cant be said for most modified cars, mtm really know their stuff but they do charge alot. as for the wheels, the man that built the car put them on, they were bought brand new in 2002 and cost £800 a peice without rubber. as far as im concerned they suite the car perfect, fat wheel for a fat car. cdem 0 Posted February 16, 2009 Its a nice car, i certainly wouldnt say no to it :D Similar story with my mates Audi. Never really has problems with it (until he blew the transfer box the other week) and the wheels cost a fair bit to be made. Audi A3's are cool cars 8)

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 16, 2009 the thing that really amazes me is the fact that the car has done nearly 80,000 miles since the conversion and never not even once had any problems, which is somthing that cant be said for most modified cars, mtm really know their stuff but they do charge alot. To be fair, all they've done is stick slightly bigger versions of existing parts (of the same brand) onto an already established, reliable engine and 80K is nothing these days, not for a car like that. But that level of repeatable, consistent and reliable performance is worth paying for imo. Try getting 80K of trouble free motoring from a VR6 turbo.... now THAT is an achievement worth shouting about!
20vturbo 0 Posted February 16, 2009 the thing people dont realise is this car was done in 2002 which is way before mtm had a bolt on kit. this car is the prototype so eveything under the bonnet was custom made which means the bill was so big im shocked every time i hear it
