mine did the same not long after replacing the rad, i don't think i had routed it correctly when i put it back on.

 

with one side already open you should be able to pull the catches with a metal rod that has a hook on the end

How is that you have no stone chips? Has the whole front been resprayed? Been out cleaning mine today and wanted to cry from all the chips! :gag:

Cheers guys! Carn't stop looking at her. I left it far too long to give her a clean.

 

As for the paint, a previous owner had her resprayed, and I've had the bumpers & drivers front wing re-done [on the insurance]. :D
