Cheltenham10.6 0 Posted November 3, 2009 Hey folks Just recently took the plunge and got a mid-condition VR6 (used to have a G60 back in the day). I was driving home and turned on the lights but the dash was still in darkness (even moved the slider thing to the side of the lights switch). How difficult is changing the dashboard backlight? Anything else that might be causing the problem? Cheers for your help Jon
ANDREW 30 0 Posted November 3, 2009 Changing the bulbs once you've got the dials out is a piece of cake, the bulbs are mounted in a plastic holder and you turn them 90 degrees to remove them! It seems strange that they'd all be gone tho!!!

Cheltenham10.6 0 Posted November 4, 2009 After removing the instrument panel and having a rummage around, I thought to have a look at the fuse box... Yes, I am embarrassed. Jon :epicfail:
krnau 0 Posted November 4, 2009 you can replace those bulbs without removing the clocks. you only have to remove the surround and it's front screen, as seen in this picture from the other post:
