muppetlab 0 Posted November 11, 2009 Hey folks, after a drop and some hefty rims i have a few issues with tyres rubbing. The rear not so much its just the arch is a bit out of sorts and needs smoothing out again but thought might as well get it flared at the same time. The fronts only scuff very slightly on more than half lock which i thought i could live with but now its getting on my tits. I only need a bit of flaring and i have no arch liners to worry about fitting so should i? The other option is wait a few weeks till the roads get salted for the winter. Apply a few rainy days and wait for the arches to rot out. After a few days they should be crappy enough. Roll out the grinder and welder  Cut away offending arches and weld in new metal flared parts. Fill and get sprayed. This option does have a great potential to go horribly wrong if i cant get the arch back together properly although i am a good welder/fabricator. A couple of the arches are bubbling on the edges anyway so a lick of paint is in order anyway. Just looking for advice on what to do and if theres anywhere in norfolk who does it?? I am on coilovers but please dont suggest lifting the suspension as i love it down here in the weeds! cheers jez

voo51 0 Posted November 26, 2009 Had my actual wheel arch extended out by 2 and a half inches either side. Which then meant I had to have my rear lower quaters and rear bumper extended out. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=76718&start=45 My front arches have been rolled a little but I want them doing more, so I am going to get arch enemy to do them for me.
