funky 0 Posted January 25, 2004 whilst fitting my new starter motor today when i removed the inter cooler pipes i noticed there was a fair bit of oil inside them, thought i better check the charger it was the same. its like a grey colour im sure its not the charger but the rocker cover breather and my question is - is this normal ? and the cause of this could be worn piston rings ? tia funky Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
W3RKD 0 Posted January 25, 2004 hello there funky. you might want to put a compression tester on the block and check it mate. is the engine breathing heavy ? this is one of the reasons we fit the catch tanks on the g60's instead of the breather breathing back into the charger.. there should not be a huge amount of oil in the pipe work though check the boost return pipe and see what that looks like inside ? for peace of mind if you want to send me the charger i will check ot out for you ...
