How tall are you Kris, the Hornet is not good for tall people. I like them, and they were a contender for my first bike, however upon sitting on one I realised I was way to big (6ft2). I bought a Bandit 600 instead, a great first bike and all rounder.

I'm 6ft... My mate has one... in fact almost identical to the one in the pic (his is just a lil more dirty  ) and i found that i fit on it pretty much perfectly...

my mate with the bandit did the same thing as you... he's 6ft 3-4 and built like a brick sh*t-house and found that it was the only bike that didn't make him look like he had nicked a todlers pushbike!

It's really not too bad, I did the new test last August. The good thing is that the most common failure on the old test was the turn in the road, at least with the new test you get that out of the way in the first test (in a test area that has no camber, traffic and is slightly wider than most roads), which is only about 10 mins long and actually very cheap! Leaving the 2nd test just a nice ride out with very little manoeuvring to worry about. The new test has had an awful lot of bad press, I think the slow manoeuvring aspect actually makes for a better rider in traffic.

Anyway, some very nice rides you have had there, particularly like the polo :)

cheers dude, the polo was ace. i know its ment to be a smaller version of the G60 but they are two very different cars the polo had violent acceleration and felt fast, even suprised a few bikes of the mark! handled like shit though. but the rado feels a lot more smooth and refined. doesnt feel overly fast but then look at the speedo and think, oh....i best slow down a bit.

the "turn in the road" was the worst bit for me i was brickin it! just couldnt do it. even before my test still couldnt do it. i dont even atempt it now. but one my test just gritted my teeth and nailed it! was so releaved, i was shoutin yes in my helmet. good job it wasnt a two way headset.

tbh it is gettin a lot of bad press like you say but you never hear the good news always the bad stuff. my mate passed the new test first time. its not easy learning to ride a bike, specailly if you can drive a car. takes a bit of getting you head round it.
