lil b 0 Posted April 27, 2010 MK? what postcode... cus I would end up spending the same in petrol to make the difference to what the garages round here want, im guessing.. :( :( Thanks tho!!!
eugopnosaj 0 Posted April 27, 2010 I probably wouldn't charge, or at least next to nothing if you wanted to pay me a small amount (maybe just a few quid for the cost of 'lecky for the compressor as no doubt we'd need it haha!) If all else fails and you can't find anyone closer then let me know and we could work something out
harryc 0 Posted April 27, 2010 Im in Cowley Oxford but my tools are in kent... don't suppose thats much use unless you've got tools?

harryc 0 Posted April 27, 2010 Only specialist tool is the top mount allen key and nut removal tool. Got a homemade one at home, there s a special vw tool number for it but dont know what it is, failing that an impact gun normally does the trick! Apart from that ratchet and spanner set, jack, axle stand?

Small world, I used to live in Oxford and my sister still lives in Cowley - Will look out for you next time I visit her in the C. Ian.
mimjed 0 Posted April 27, 2010 7mm allen key, brake caliper allen key i think they are called. and all i did was grind two flat sides on a 22mm socket and use and adjustable spanne to grab it with. not a very complicated job, really is a half hour at the most, and thats without an airgun. £100 is daylight robbery.
